Steve Jobs was simply a superb man. A man for the ages.



I work on my Macs most of the day and use them, off and on, all the time. I have since the first Macintosh was shown to me in 1984. I was instantly hooked. I also ride my horse almost every day. I was hooked on horses too. Both are timeless. One is truly ancient, one truly modern. Both make life most livable for me. Thoroughbred horses are products of vision with careful and demanding breading. Apple products and their success are also from vision with careful and demanding breading.
Mark Steyn noted in "After America," that our personal lives have changed very little since the 1950's. Our society has developed a form of stasis sclerosis due to our innovation being forced into stagnation from over regulation. There was, however, one major exception. Thanks to Steve Jobs, Apple and its innovations, from Macintosh to ipods, changed our lives in the last part of the 20th Century and the first part of the 21st Century. Thanks for changing our lives for the better!

Jobs was simply a superb man. A brand for the ages.

The word genius will be thrown around a lot about him, but that word genius misses the point.

Many people have genius, but few geniuses have the kind of flexibility, endurance and ability to admit wrong turns, face them and correct them.

That trait, which Jobs had in spades, translated directly to Apple’s success and Pixar’s --the kind of success that required meeting not only consumers’ needs again and again but even anticipating their dreams.
