Damn Fools - Palm Trees, as with all living things, Have a Lifespan and Should Be Replaced

Part of what was the past beauty of Los Angeles was entwined with Palm Trees. LA has lost much of its beauty as its illegal alien population keeps growing and cheeper construction ensued. Much of LA now looks like scenes from Baghdad.
The idiot environmentalists would have the Palms that are aging and dying not replaced, but they are just getting old and diseased. They are not dying because of global warming, nor is anything else. Unfortunately, the only thing that has now become immortal is climate change bureaucrats and "Climate NGOs"
LA was once covered in shady Pepper and Fig Trees too.  m/r

Los Angeles' legendary palm trees are dying – and few will be replaced

A beetle and a fungus are killing off the trees that have become synonymous with the city, making way for trees that give more shade and use less water

They are the sultry, swaying backdrop to countless films, posters and music videos, an effective way to announce: this is Los Angeles.
Palm trees greet you outside the LAX airport, they line Hollywood Boulevard, stand guard over the Pacific and crisscross neighbourhoods poor and rich, a botanical army of stems and fronds which symbolise the world’s entertainment capital.
Apparently not for much longer. LA’s palm trees are dying. And most won’t be replaced.
A beetle known as the South American palm weevil and a fungus called Fusarium are killing palm trees across southern California. Others are dying of old age. “It’ll change the overall aesthetic because palm trees are so distinctive. It’s the look and feel of Los Angeles,” said Carol Bornstein, director of the nature gardens at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles.

How Corrupt and Retarded Can The Senate Get? It won't Kill Obamacare, It will Kill Horses!

Who will profit from this? m/r

Senate bill could trigger mass slaughter of wild mustang

CBS News September 27, 2017

SAN FRANCISCO -- The fate of thousands of wild horses hangs in the balance as the Senate considers an amendment to a spending bill that would allow euthanasia of mustangs and burros roaming free on land owned by the federal government.
The amendment would allow the Interior Department's Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to sell excess wild horses without an assurance they wouldn't be slaughtered. The matter will eventually be settled in negotiations between the Senate and the House.
CBS San Francisco traveled to the Utah desert, 50 miles northwest of Cedar City, to witness a federally mandated round-up of an icon of the American West.
Using a helicopter that looks like it was stolen from the set of M*A*S*H, federal agents began the process of gathering 50 wild horses.

"When you have horses that close, when they come into a trap site, they're very fresh, they have a lot of energy. When you're gathering wild horses, they are wild animals," said Gus Ward, the BLM's Wild Horse and Burro lead for Utah.

All that kneeling ignores the real cause of soaring black homicides

The FBI released its official crime tally for 2016 on Monday, and the data flies in the face of the rhetoric that professional athletes rehearsed in revived Black Lives Matter protests over the weekend.
Nearly 900 additional blacks were killed in 2016 compared with 2015, bringing the black homicide victim total to 7,881. Those 7,881 “black bodies,” in the parlance of Ta-Nehisi Coates, are 1,305 more than the number of white victims (which in this case includes most Hispanics) for the same period, though blacks are only 13 percent of the nation’s population.
The increase in black homicides last year comes on top of a previous 900-victim increase between 2014 and 2015.
Who is killing these black victims? Not whites, and not the police, but other blacks.

Hillary Clinton: Quite Telling That Trump Is Willing To Attack Black Athletes, "Dog Whistle" To Base

Posted By Ian Schwartz On Date September 25, 2017

Hillary Clinton weighed in on President Trump's controversial comments about NFL players kneeling for the national anthem. Clinton said it is "quite telling" that Trump is "willing to attack black athletes" but not white supremacists, the Klan, or Putin.

"He attacks black athletes as he did starting with his rally in Alabama. Continued on Twitter. And he attacks them for protesting peacefully for equality, for standing up for what they believe. And he does it once again to dog whistle to his base and to try to detract attention from other things that are going on. But it's quite telling that he is willing to attack black athletes," Clinton told MSNBC's Chris Hayes.

Clinton said Trump's comments about the NFL is a "dog whistle" to his base and an attempt to appeal to America's "dark underbelly." -

Majority of NFL player arrests aren't for violent crimes [nearly 30%]

February 3, 2016 by Kim Horner
A new UT Dallas study suggests that NFL violence is not as common off the field as it may seem.
Compared to violent offending data in other studies, the percentage of violent arrests among NFL was higher, according to the newest UT Dallas research. But these crimes were committed by a very small number of players.
The researchers measured arrests among NFL players between 2000 and 2014. The data came from two separate NFL arrest databases created by The San Diego Union-Tribune and USA Today.
Violent crimes included murder, manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter, DUI manslaughter, attempted murder, robbery, aggravated assault, sexual assault, rape, statutory rape, battery, assault, domestic violence, child abuse and kidnapping.
The study examined 774 arrests among 573 NFL players. Of those arrests, 209 (27 percent) were for . The majority of those players—440 (77 percent)—had one arrest during the period studied. But 91 had two arrests, and 42 players had three or more arrests.

NFL Protests Spread as Trump’s Feud With Athletes Escalates

More players kneel in protest during national anthem; president urges fans to boycott games until they ‘stop disrespecting’

Sunday, September 24, 2017

A Protest by Coddled Freaks of Nature and Economic Fascist-Limo-Liberal Owners

The NFL, NBA and now one in MLB to become "kneelers". At one time that was a slightly derogatory term for Catholics, because that was what they did.
Now it refers to pro and school game players who are Protesting by not standing for the National Anthem and American Flag prior to the game in which they are to play.
Playing a game is an appropriate phrase.
They are being supported by the team owners, some coaches, sportscasters and the NFL Commissioner.
What are they protesting?
They say they are protesting the racism and white privilege endemic in America.
They say it is their 1st Amendment right. Ironic. This terrible country has that Amendment, unlike any other country.
So lets get started.
The protests began doe to racism, racism in sports that are played by a majority of minority group players, who, by the way, are in an even smaller minority of specialized, 'talented', physical anomalies who can play these popular games. For their physical abilities, not mental, they are rewarded with scholarships, women, cars, homes and millions of dollars. Plus the adoration of mindless fans.
What are they protesting again?
These physical freaks are in turn supported in this inane attention grabbing.
The NFL Commissioner is coddling these mental infants and the owners fear losing their human contracted property.
 What are THEY protesting?
Perhaps the owners are the most of all. They demand that local governments acquire land, build and/or subsidize their stadia, tax free. Then allow the team owners to control all activity, franchises and profits gained from their use of these cost free stadia. That my fellow Americans is pure economic fascism.
What are they protesting again?
The players, with their naive commie tee-shirts and slogans, and the owners, with their fascist demand on local governments, and the political retards who report sports should all be boycotted into a total blackout.
Who needs any of them? m/r

Nothing Exceptional to See Here - Just Typical Relativism

Androgynous Ken Burns has another nothing exceptional about America, except it's bad, PBS series that we pay for. His usual 'docudrama' makes heroes of things black, villains of all things American conservative and screws to his lefty viewpoint through factual omissions.

Here’s Why You Won’t See John McCain In Ken Burns’ Vietnam War Documentary

Ken Burns, the "impartial" documentary film maker
As The Vietnam War reaches its halfway point Thursday night with Episode 5, “This Is What We Do,” viewers will recognize a familiar face: John McCain. The Arizona senator is one of the most high-profile POWs during the Vietnam War, and his ordeal was brought back into the spotlight during the 2016 presidential campaign when Donald Trump said, “He is a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”
The PBS documentary will reveal just a fraction of the ordeal that McCain went through after he was shot down during a bombing mission over Hanoi in October 1967. As the son of Admiral McCain, John McCain was an important prisoner and therefore was also interviewed for television at that time. He underwent various beatings and tortures that have left him with lifelong health issues and disabilities.

'Get that son of a b***h off the field!': Trump calls for BOYCOTTS of NFL teams whose players refuse to stand for the National Anthem

  • Donald Trump told an Alabama crowd that they should boycott professional football teams whose players refuse to stand for the National Anthem
  • 'If you see it – even if it's one player – leave the stadium. I guarantee things will stop,' he said
  • The President was stumping for Luther Strange, a Republican who is running in a special election for U.S. Senate
  • 'Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, "Get that son of a b***h off the field right now!"?' Trump asked
  • Quarterback Colin Kaepernick started the take-a-knee protest trend a year ago when he was an injured backup player for the San Francisco 49ers
  • He said at the time that he was taking a position against 'a country that oppresses black people and people of color'
  • Kaepernick has been unable to find a team that will sign him this year
President Donald Trump has ratcheted up the national controversy over black National Football League players who refuse to stand while the U.S. National Anthem is played before games.
During a Friday night political rally in Alabama, Trump called on fans to boycott teams that allow players to engage in that particular form of protest.
The league's TV ratings have slid since quarterback Colin Kaepernick, then the leader of the San Francisco 49ers, began the trend in September 2016.
'Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, "Get that son of a b***h off the field right now! He is fired. He's fired!"' Trump boomed.
His crowd applauded and chanted 'USA! USA!'

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) dealt a critical blow to Republicans’ last-ditch attempt to roll back the Affordable Care Act on Friday, announcing he will not vote for sweeping repeal legislation that GOP leaders plan to bring to the Senate floor for a vote next week.
“We should not be content to pass healthcare legislation on a party-line basis,” McCain said in a lengthy statement criticizing the GOP rush to pass a repeal bill without any hearings and little public scrutiny.
McCain’s move raises serious questions about whether Republicans have the votes to pass the latest repeal bill, authored by Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Bill Cassidy (R-La.).
The party, which has 52 votes in the Senate, can lose only two or the bill will fail.

Rep. Maxine Waters: 'Impeachment Is About Whatever the Congress Says It Is'

By CNSNews.com Staff | September 21, 2017

(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), who previously has called for the impeachment of Donald Trump, on Thursday told a Congressional Black Caucus Town Hall on Civil Rights that she expects other members of the black community to back her up:
“Don't come here and tell me, ‘Maxine, you keep on doing what you do.’ But when you gonna give me some support?” she asked. “How many of you in your organizations have said, 'Impeach 45' ?”
Waters urged the crowd not to get hung up on what law to invoke in the impeachment process:
Impeachment is about whatever the Congress says it is. There is no law that dictates impeachment. What the Constitution says is “high crimes and misdemeanors,” and we define that.

Puerto Rico sucked already, now make it officially Speak English to help get aid

Rescue teams take to Puerto Rico streets in darkness amid warnings that power could be out for months following devastating hit from Hurricane Maria

  • Island of Puerto Rico is without power after Hurricane Maria swept through the U.S. territory Wednesday
  • Maria made landfall on Puerto Rico Wednesday morning as a Cat. 4 hurricane with 155 mph winds
  • Dropped to Cat.2 overnight but regained its major hurricane status, rising to a Category 3 early Thursday
  • The Turks & Caicos Islands and the southeastern Bahamas will see hurricane conditions Thursday evening
  • Before hitting Puerto Rico, Maria battered St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands for about five hours overnight
  • Forecasters say it could regain strength and Maria could again become a major hurricane by Thursday
  • So far, Maria has been blamed for 10 deaths - one on Puerto Rico, seven on Dominica and two on Guadeloupe
Puerto Rico may be without power for months after Hurricane Maria hit the U.S. territory with powerful winds that downed trees, ripped the roofs off homes and turned roads into rivers with flash flooding.
Gov. Ricardo Rosselló told CNN late Wednesday night that it may take months to restore power to the entire island.
He said that as a result of the powerful Category 4 hurricane, no one on the island has power from utilities since the power grid is 'a little bit old, mishandled and weak'.
'It depends on the damage to the infrastructure,' Rosselló said. 'I'm afraid it's probably going to be severe. If it is ... we're looking at months as opposed to weeks or days.'
