He appears better than the rest, so far...Libertarian Gary Johnson to announce run for presidency in April

Libertarian Gary Johnson to announce run for presidency in April : Fire Andrea Mitchell!

Gary Johnson is an interesting prospect for 2012. He was the Governor of New Mexico from 1995 through 2003, and is a libertarian style Republican, not one of the usual establishment types. Those who love Ron Paul generally like this guy too. Otherwise, I don’t know much about Gary Johnson, other than his motto of “Live free or die.” Now it appears he is ready to announce he will run for the presidency in April. Fox News says Johnson insiders say he will bypass the exploratory stage, announce his candidacy and immediately travel to New Hampshire sometime after tax day, April 15.

Fox News also mentions that Johnson is a strong supporter of legalizing marijuana and gay marriage. None of those issues are terribly important to me one way or the other, so this wouldn’t affect my vote. The more fiscally conservative candidate the GOP can nominate, instead of the social conservative is better anyway.
