I hate just visiting hospitals, they seem like a giant petri dish of growing infection. The worst victims are women. If they get forced to stay in a hospital, too many of the nurses are too lazy to help the patient to a bathroom, or use a bedpan or diaper in order to the make the patient more comfortable. Instead, the patient gets a catheter inserted for the nurses convenience. All too often the result is bladder infection.
Also, an excessive amount of pain killers and sedatives are used. Their use is often abused to keep the patient quiet, so they will not be bothering the hospital staff.
Hospitals are the place of last resort. After Obamacare is fully government dictated, death will be a well considered option. m/r
Hospitals Struggle to Get Workers to Wash Their Hands - NYTimes.com

At North Shore University Hospital on Long Island, motion sensors, like those used for burglar alarms, go off every time someone enters an intensive care room. The sensor triggers a video camera, which transmits its images halfway around the world to India, where workers are checking to see if doctors and nurses are performing a critical procedure: washing their hands.
