FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -
Transportation Security Administration agents found pottery filled with dirt and human skull fragments inside a carry-on bag at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
Two women heading to Baltimore were carrying the bag on their AirTrain fight when the discovery was made in Terminal 1 at the Concourse C checkpoint about 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
Investigators told Local 10's Christina Vazquez the passengers were Santeria priestess from Baltimore, who traveled to Cuba for religious training.
The women said they purchased the pots at a religious shop, saying they are for "protection."
