In the Bag for 2013 Tesla Model S - Driven - CAR and DRIVER

This is like a old "MAD" Magazine spoof on "Consumer Reports."
This expensive dog-of-a-car (subliminal was part of the report at its beginning and end) was give an almost rave review by the their new-age style editor. For $103,000, even after the green energy rebate, this car had better satisfy my every wish and command just by rubbing it. Alas, it is a feel-good-about-your-karmic-debt electric car designed perfectly for the Little Old Lady from Pasadena. It will blow away other cars in a street drag race on Colorado Blvd. so long as the batteries hold out. It will go to Glendale (the next town) and back, but not on the Interstate for any distance (guess is under 100 miles). Then go home, if you get there and plug it in to recharge for 20 HOURS!
Can't wait for another review by "Top Gear from the UK." Jeremy Clarrkson is a bit more rational, skeptical and realistic about these overpriced four wheel electric mantras. 
He also exposed that even before any of the electric cars are assembled, just the mining, smelting, packing, transporting and energizing the batteries does more to use up energy and cause environmental damage than any gasoline car will do over its lifetime! m/r
