Obama's Socialism Would Sicken Teddy Roosevelt

TR was frustrated by the corruption in the NY Assembly. I seem as if the only way any bills could be passed was through pay off to the members. The political machines on both sides of the aile controlled the votes through out an out graft or theats to re-election. He wrote of Assemblymen Mike Costello and Pete Kelly. Both Honest Democrats fromNew York and Brooklyn, whom Roosevelt greatly adired for their honesty and voting their consciences. Because of this, Pete Kelly was not allowed to be re-elected by the Tammant Machine. Kelly was broke, nearly lost everything and died broken.
TR's story of Pete Kelly, in Roosevelt's autobiography, reminded me of Prize Fighters who get a title, then are forced to take dives, or lose their title. If they stay honest, they get beaten and broken and lose their title and prize.

Which is it for Obama, did he take a dive a long time ago, or was he just part of the machine from the beginning?

Obama's Socialism Would Sicken Teddy Roosevelt
from 12-7-11 Joe Hicks
Obama invoked Teddy Roosevelt in a recent speech. He also insulted capitalism and free enterprise. What is Obama's vision for America and the Middle Class? Joe Hicks thinks it is socialism, and an all intrusive nanny state, and this would make Teddy sick. Hear more at the above link.
