Workers of the World, You Dopes - Barone: 'Green jobs' a dubious path to the future

Like Blacks and Latins, the Democrat Politicians take Union Workers for granted and treat them as if they were too dumb to vote as individuals or take care of themselves. So why do Blacks, Latins and Union Workers continue to support the Democrat Politicians who treat them with patronizing syrupy contempt? m/r

Barone: 'Green jobs' a dubious path to the future | Campaign 2012 | Washington Examiner

by Michael Barone 4-22-12

I don’t know how many times I’ve seen liberal commentators look back with nostalgia to the days when a young man fresh out of high school or military service could get a well-paying job on an assembly line at a unionized auto factory that could carry him through to a comfortable retirement.

As it happens, I grew up in Detroit and for a time lived next door to factory workers. And I know something that has eluded the liberal nostalgiacs. Which is that people hated those jobs.

The assembly line work was boring and repetitive. That’s because management imbibed Frederick W. Taylor’s theories that workers were stupid and could not be trusted with any initiative.

It was also because the United Auto Workers’ contract’s thousands of pages of work rules, which forbade assembly.

Don't let facts get in the way- UTOPIA at all cost!: We Must Build “An Entirely New Kind Of Global Society”

No one favors small families and less population more than I, but not as a government mandate, and only as a personal choice! m/r

» Ehrlich, Hansen, Lovelock: We Must Build “An Entirely New Kind Of Global Society” Alex Jones' Infowars: There's a war on for your mind!
Jurriaan MaessenInfowars.com
April 10, 2012

In the statement titled “Environment and Development Challenges: The Imperative to Act”meant to inspire the UN and its upcoming 2012 Earth Summit, the fiends call for a global implementation of population policies. To effectively implement these policies the authors propose rights being infringed upon in order to address what they call “the population issue”:
“The population issue should be urgently addressed by education and empowerment of women, including in the work-force and in rights, ownership and inheritance; health care of children and the elderly; and making modern contraception accessible to all.”, they write.
We of course know perfectly well what they mean by “health care of children and the elderly”. We have recently seen the terrible results of health care for children in the eugenicists’ model-state of China.
Decrying that “funding (for worldwide fertility control) decreased by 30% between 1995 and 2008, not least as a result of legislative pressure from the religious right in the USA and elsewhere”, the authors call for “education and planning needed to foster and achieve a sustainable human population and lifestyles.”
How does one do that exactly, “achieve a sustainable human population”, you may wonder:
“Globally, we must find better means to agree and implement measures to achieve collective goals.”
Finally, in a dramatic turn the band of eugenic brothers turn to the old Malthusian trick of scaring the children into action:
“In the face of an absolutely unprecedented emergency, society has no choice but to take dramatic action to avert a collapse of civilization. Either we will change our ways and build an entirely new kind of global society, or they will be changed for us.”
These eco-fascists clearly stop at nothing as they attempt to terrorize the world into accepting their envisioned “global society.”

Here is a perfect example of the bias, Statist point of view at the Star-Ledger. How N.J. towns' countless tax appeal settlements are costing the state billions

How about this for a headline instead:
NJ Towns and their Public Schools are in general, just wasteful, bloated bureaucracies, with generous wages for big staffs and automatic wage and pension increases from public sector unionized contracts. Visit a town hall, city hall or county office. Most of the time, unfortunately, employees are unresponsive, rude and lazy. Most jobs that are handled by three that can be done by one. The paperwork and reporting requirements make efficiency impossible.

Here we have the largest newspaper in the State essentially reprinting a government press release with supporting quotes. The Star-Ledger has always been the press agency tool of the State and local government agencies and should be ashamed. m/r

How N.J. towns' countless tax appeal settlements are costing the state billions | NJ.com
By Stephen Stirling and Sarah Portlock/The Star-Ledger 3-28-12

Swamped with a near-record number of tax appeals, New Jersey municipalities are choosing to settle more than ever rather than fight them, costing the state billions of dollars in lost tax base and wreaking havoc on local budgets, a Star-Ledger analysis has found.
With more than 87,000 homeowners and businesses filing appeals last year, settling has become the most cost-effective means of limiting the damage to municipalities, where in many cases properties were last assessed before the housing market crashed. Still, last year, municipalities lost more than $3.8 billion in their tax base because of reduced assessments, more than double the total from 2008.
The findings are the result of an analysis of more than 20 years of data from the state Treasury Department’s Division of Taxation.
As the April 2 deadline for property owners to file tax appeals fast approaches, administrators and finance directors across the state say the flood of appeals hasn’t abated.
"We’ve seen people at the counter continuously," said East Brunswick Finance Director L. Mason Neely. "Have you seen any major change in the housing market? Until we do, this is something we’re going to have to deal with." ...
..."Essentially, some towns were getting hit with appeals that were so bad that they didn’t have cash to refund them," said Wharton Administrator Jon Rheinhardt. "It puts them in a situation where their financial position is weakened and that can take a long time to get out of."

Joie de Decline - Blame Bureaucrats

Claire Berlinski is usually in Turkey and constantly writing. She has more intestinal fortitude than most of the namby pamby liberal male journalists.

"All ye Poets of the Age!
All ye Witlings of the Stage!
Learn your Jingles to reform!
Crop your Numbers and Conform:
Let your little Verses flow

Let the Verse the Subject fit;
Little Subject, Little Wit.

Albion's Joy, Hibernia's Pride."

by Henry Carey

Joie de Decline by Claire Berlinski - City Journal
I arrived in Paris to find commuter trains on strike, graffiti everywhere, the streets filthy, and every restaurant at which one might eat with a toddler closed. But Paris is always like this, and I saw no sign of distress at the imminent prospect of the eurozone breakup or even much evidence of a recession.
I had been in New York and then in Istanbul the week before. Of the three cities, New York is the only one where everything works reliably. In Istanbul, where I live, no one is ever on time for anything; the word “deadline” has no meaning. Once I nearly collapsed in shock after a repairman told me that he would be at my apartment within 90 minutes and was indeed there within 90 minutes. At first, I was suspicious. Was he a spy? When I concluded that he had really come to fix something, I had to fight back tears of gratitude.
The exception to Istanbul’s dysfunction is Atatürk International, one of the most pleasant and efficient airports in the world—it took me just 15 minutes, starting from my deposit at curbside, to get through check-in, security, and immigration—and Turkish Airlines, which I adore, despite those discomfiting rumors about its prioritization of customer service over pilot training. I’ll take the customer service and my chances, not to mention the certainty that Turkish Airlines won’t be on strike and the high probability that Air France will be.
No one in France seems to have grasped the connection between the country’s army of ceaselessly striking civil servants and the prospect of economic doom. For now, the cash machines still dispense euros, and the army of civil servants still makes French life more pleasant, not less. After all, they provide an agreeable diversion. My father, who lives in Paris, was taking out the garbage when he was accosted by two women in uniform, members of the ecology police, patrolling the neighborhood to make sure that tenants understood the importance of recycling. He offered them his opinion: recycling is a stupid racket. They listened and then offered the official state opinion: recycling is not a stupid racket. They were polite, well-informed, and dogged. In the end, they won: he agreed to recycle. It was all very civilized, and one could see that many people in the neighborhood found the bureaucrats’ visit pleasant.

Unsafe at Any Speed » The Government Does Not Care If You Die

Unsafe at Any Speed » The Antiplanner
Mar 9, 2012
Three months ago, Washington MetroRail’s Blue and Orange lines shut down when parts fell off the braking gear of one of the railcars, damaging another car. Hundreds of riders had to evacuate and train service was delayed for hours.
Metro initially blamed the malfunction on “premature wear,” but another railcar’s brakes fell apart in a similar manner just a month later.
Now it turns out that Metro knew about the potential hazard with the brakes six years ago, but didn’t have the money to fix the 190 railcars that used that type of brake gear. So, it more-or-less just forgot about it. These sorts of problems start to crop up when rail lines are about 30 years old and transit agencies haven’t budgeted for periodic rehabilitation–which they never seem to do.
Where will the next serious rail accident take place? Chicago‘s CTA and all ofBoston‘s rail lines suffer from seriously deferred maintenance. The original San Diego Trolley turned 30 last year. Parts of Atlanta‘s rail system are nearly 33 years old, and Miami‘s is 28-years old. It’s only a matter of time–and probably not much time–before one of these has a major accident.

Are American cities competing to see which can come up with the most ridiculous transit proposals? If so, Honolulu will probably win, hands down. The nation’s 52nd-largest urban area has only about 950,000 people, yet it is spending $5.3 billion, or more than $5,500 per resident, to build a single 20-mile rail line. That’s probably a greater cost per person than any rail system ever built–and it is just for one line, not a complete system.

By 2015, the city hopes to complete and begin operating a segment between East Kapolei and theAloha Stadium. In other words, it will go from a place were few live to a place that has only a few events per year, mainly high school football games and weekend swap meets. Even when major events take place at the stadium, the rail line will be of little use: the stadium holds 50,000 people, but at 4,000 people per hour in each direction it would take more than six hours to empty the stadium via the train.

GM Stands for Government Metaphor of its absolute Incompetence and Autocracy

A "Barack and Me" satire would be appropriate if it weren't so sad and costly for all of us.

"This isn’t just the car we wanted to build,” a narrator says in the commercial over footage of Volts being manufactured in Hamtramck, Mich. “This is the car America had to build.”

OR ELSE!

By Keith Laing - 03/02/12

General Motors has temporarily suspended production of its Volt electric car, the company announced Friday.

GM, which is based in Detroit, announced to employees at one of its facilities that it was halting production of the beleaguered electric car for five weeks and temporarily laying off 1,300 employees.

A GM spokesman told The Hill on Friday that production of the Volt would resume April 23.

"We needed to maintain proper inventory and make sure that we continued to meet market demand," GM spokesman Chris Lee said in a telephone interview.

Lee noted that sales of the Volt were higher in February than they were in January, and added that California recently decided to allow the electric car to qualify for High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes in the state. [more government manipulation!]

"We see positive trends, but we needed to make this market adjustment," he said.

The Chevy Volt has come under criticism from Republicans in Congress because of reports of its batteries catching on fire during testing. President Obama gave the electric vehicle a vote of confidence in a speech to the United Auto Workers union this week, promising he would buy a Volt "five years from now, when I'm not president anymore."

Would you really expect the government to make good decisions for Americans? It can't make any good decisions today! The Perversion of Rights

"I used to think that the U.S. Constitution would prove more resilient than the less absolutist liberties of other Western nations. But the president has calculated that, with Obamacare, the First Amendment and much else will crumble before his will. And, given trends in U.S. jurisprudence, who’s to say he won’t get his way? That’s the point about all this “free” stuff: Ultimately, it’s not about your rights, but about his." Mark Steyn
Obama is the most perverse of all!
The Perversion of Rights - Mark Steyn - National Review Online

CNN’s John King did his best the other night, producing a question from one of his viewers:

“Since birth control is the latest hot topic, which candidate believes in birth control, and if not, why?”

To their credit, no Republican candidate was inclined to accept the premise of the question. King might have done better to put the issue to Danica Patrick. For some reason, Michelle Fields of the Daily Caller sought the views of the NASCAR driver and Sports Illustrated swimwear model about “the Obama administration’s dictate that religious employers provide health-care plans that cover contraceptives.” Miss Patrick, a practicing Catholic, gave the perfect citizen’s response for the Age of Obama:

“I leave it up to the government to make good decisions for Americans.”

That’s the real “hot topic” here — whether a majority of citizens, in America as elsewhere in the West, is willing to “leave it up to the government” to make decisions on everything that matters. On the face of it, the choice between the Obama administration and the Catholic Church should not be a tough one. On the one hand, we have the plain language of the First Amendment as stated in the U.S. Constitution since 1791: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”

On the other, we have a regulation invented by executive order under the vast powers given to Kathleen Sebelius under a 2,500-page catalogue of statist enforcement passed into law by a government party that didn’t even bother to read it.

Commissar Sebelius says that she is trying to “strike the appropriate balance.” But these two things — a core, bedrock, constitutional principle, and Section 47(e)viii of Micro-Regulation Four Bazillion and One issued by Leviathan’s Bureau of Compliance — are not equal, and you can only “balance” them by massively increasing state power and massively diminishing the citizen’s. Or, to put it more benignly, by “leaving it up to the government to make good decisions.”

Some of us have been here before.

Dept. of Homeland Security makes us safe from hair dryers!??!

This photo of Janet Napolitano is insulting to the Boarder Patrol and Horses everywhere.
Moose would have bucked her ass off if she had tried to get on!

DHS: 'CBP Stops Thousands of Unsafe Hair Dryers' | Campaign 2012 | Washington Examiner

President Obama's border enforcement officials prevented over 13,000 dangerous hair dryers from entering the country, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) trumpeted today.

"U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seized thousands of hair dryers recently that were determined to constitute a “substantial product hazard” under U.S. law, for failing to have adequate immersion protection," DHS announced. "The potentially dangerous hair dryers were identified through a nationwide targeting operation by the CBP Import Safety Commercial Targeting and Analysis Center (CTAC)."

CBP seized the hair dryers at the ports of Los Angeles (9,768 hair dryers) and Miami (3,614) because they "lacked shock protection for consumers" in the event of the hair dryers' immersion in water.

Allen Gina, CBP's assistant commissioner for public trade, praised the CPB officers who helped seize the hair dryers. "The concerted targeting efforts of CTAC and the vigilance of CBP officers at our ports of entry will help ensure that products like hair dryers are safe for consumers and that substandard product from overseas does not reach store shelves," he said.

U.S. extends travel warning to Mexico over violence - Obama wants to ignore it for his own racial reasons

Why expect Mexicans no to be violent here when they are so violent in Mexico. It is engendered!

U.S. extends travel warning to Mexico over violence | Reuters
Feb 9, 2012

Spreading drug violence, kidnappings and carjackings in Mexico have led the State Department to increase the number of places it says Americans should avoid for safety reasons for the second time in less than a year.

A travel advisory issued this week urged U.S. citizens to avoid all but essential travel to 14 states in northern and central Mexico, warning that U.S. citizens have fallen victim to drug-cartel related activity "including homicide, gunbattles, kidnapping, carjacking and highway robbery." ...

The latest advisory cites concerns about parts of Aguascalientes, Guerrero and Nayarit in central Mexico, and raises its advisory against non-essential travel to include Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Nuevo Leon, San Luis Potosi, Sinaloa and Zacatecas as well as Tamaulipas and Michoacan.

The State Department also maintained an April warning against non-essential travel to parts of Sonora, south of Arizona, and central Jalisco state, where drug cartel violence has become more widespread. ...

More than 47,500 people have been killed in Mexico since late 2006 when President Felipe Calderon took office and sent the Mexican armed forces to crush powerful cartels battling for lucrative smuggling routes to the United States.

The State Department advisory noted that 130 Americans were reported murdered in Mexico last year, up from 111 in 2010 and 35 in 2007. Among recent atrocities have been a fire set by masked gunmen in a casino in Monterrey, Mexico's industrial capital in Nuevo Leon, that killed 52 people, mostly women.

In another high profile incident, a U.S. missionary couple from Colorado was killed at their home in the city earlier this month. The advisory urged travelers to the city to exercise "extreme caution."

Usually our enemies get our classified information from the New York Times

The Rosett Report
By Claudia Rosett On February 3, 2012

So, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta just told told the Washington Post’s David Ignatius that his biggest worry right now is that Israel will attack Iran in the next few months. Panetta then spelled out that the likeliest window for an Israeli attack would be April, May or June, before Iran stores enough enriched uranium deep enough underground so that only the U.S. would have the ability to stop the bomb-making. Perhaps Iran should send him a thank you note for the information?

Let’s hope that Panetta had some brilliant hidden agenda in talking like this to the press; perhaps a secret plan for imminent American air strikes that would render an Israeli attack unnecessary, or cover for an Israeli plan to attack tonight. But more likely Panetta simply meant what he said, and he meant to say it. In other words, while Iran keeps building the bomb, his biggest worry is how to stop Israel from acting in its own defense.

That’s fine if you’re dead certain that within the next few months Iran’s regime is either going to collapse, or throw wide open its nuclear program — a la Qaddafi — and invite the U.S. in to pick up the entire nuclear kit and haul it off to be examined at leisure in Tennessee. Does anyone believe that? The immediate collapse of the Tehran regime is a long shot. The notion of the Tehran regime amiably surrendering its nuclear program is utterly improbable, especially after the NATO-assisted demise of Qaddafi — who, had he held on to his nuclear kit, in the manner of North Korea, might have avoided being killed like a rat near a Libyan drainpipe. (Note: Qaddafi survived for years under sanctions. What persuaded him to give up his nuclear program was fear of suffering the fate of Saddam Hussein. What finally brought him down was use of force.)

Companies Face Fines for Not Using Unavailable Biofuel

REPEAL the Environmental Protection Agency!
Companies Face Fines for Not Using Unavailable Biofuel - NYTimes.com
WASHINGTON — When the companies that supply motor fuel close the books on 2011, they will pay about $6.8 million in penalties to the Treasury because they failed to mix a special type of biofuel into their gasoline and diesel as required by law.

But there was none to be had. Outside a handful of laboratories and workshops, the ingredient, cellulosic biofuel, does not exist.

In 2012, the oil companies expect to pay even higher penalties for failing to blend in the fuel, which is made from wood chips or the inedible parts of plants like corncobs. Refiners were required to blend 6.6 million gallons into gasoline and diesel in 2011 and face a quota of 8.65 million gallons this year.

“It belies logic,” Charles T. Drevna, the president of theNational Petrochemicals and Refiners Association, said of the 2011 quota. And raising the quota for 2012 when there is no production makes even less sense, he said.

Penalizing the fuel suppliers demonstrates what happens when the federal government really, really wants something that technology is not ready to provide. In fact, while it may seem harsh that the Environmental Protection Agency is penalizing them for failing to do the impossible, the agency is being lenient by the standards of the law, the 2007Energy Independence and Security Act.

The law, aimed at reducing the nation’s greenhouse gas emissions, its reliance on oil imported from hostile places and the export of dollars to pay for it, includes provisions to increase the efficiency of vehicles as well as incorporate renewable energy sources into gasoline and diesel.

It requires the use of three alternative fuels: car and truck fuel made from cellulose, diesel fuel made from biomass and fuel made from biological materials but with a 50 percent reduction in greenhouse gases. Only the cellulosic fuel is commercially unavailable. As for meeting the quotas in the other categories, the refiners will not close their books until February and are not sure what will happen.

Original 1939 Variety Review - Mr. Smith Goes to Washington

Here is an amazingly tightly written review that could teach much to reviewers today.
"Mr. Smith" was not appreciated by the politicians in 1939 because it gave, and gives, an honest parable of real politics at work from Washington, to the States, to the Town Halls. When it first came out, the Washington politicians tried to restrict its release. ♘

Variety Reviews - Mr. Smith Goes to Washington - Variety 100 Reviews - - Review by Variety Staff
Tue., Oct. 10, 1939,
Columbia. Director Frank Capra; Producer Frank Capra; Screenplay Sidney Buchman; Camera Joseph Walker; Editor Gene Havlick, Al Clark; Music Dimitri Tiomkin; Art Director Lionel Banks. Previewed at Pantages, Oct. 3, '39.

Warner President of Senate - Harry Carey Susan Paine - Astrid Allwyn
"Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" is typically Capra, punchy, human and absorbing-a drama that combines timeliness with current topical interest and a patriotic flavor blended masterfully into the composite whole to provide one of the finest and consistently interesting dramas of the season. Picture is a cinch for top grosses in the key runs, with holdovers the rule rather than exception. It's meaty and attention arresting for the subsequent run houses, and a topflight attraction for general audiences.

Capra goes to Washington in unwinding the story, and in so doing provides a graphic picture of just how the national lawmakers operate. His one-man campaign against crooked politics will catch attention in the largest cities and smallest hamlets. In unfolding his narrative, Capra never attempts to expose political skullduggery on a wide scale within our governmental system. He selects one state political machine, and after displaying its power and ruthlessness, proceeds to tear it to pieces.

Capra focuses attention on Washington as the symbol of liberty and democracy of the United States. Presentation is in a sincere vein, with no direct attempt at a preachment. But the patriotic appeal is there, forcefully, albeit secondary to the main dramatic thread, and will command attention from everyone who witnesses the picture.

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington(1939) - NOTES
According to Hollywood Reporter news items, "The Gentleman from Montana" (an unpublished story by Lewis R. Foster, alternately called "The Gentleman from Wyoming" by both contemporary and modern sources) was originally purchased by Columbia as a vehicle for Ralph Bellamy, with Harold Wilson slated to produce. Once Frank Capra became the director, the project, planned as a sequel to Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, was entitled Mr. Deeds Goes to Washington, and was to star Gary Cooper, reprising his role as Deeds. Cooper was unavailable for the role, however, and James Stewart was borrowed from M-G-M.
Information in the MPAA/PCA Collection at the AMPAS Library indicates that in January 1938, both Paramount and M-G-M submitted copies of Lewis' story to the PCA for approval. Responding to a Paramount official, PCA Director Joseph I. Breen cautioned: "we would urge most earnestly that you take serious counsel before embarking on the production of any motion picture based on this story. It looks to us like one that might well be loaded with dynamite, both for the motion picture industry, and for the country at large." Breen especially objected to "the generally unflattering portrayal of our system of Government, which might well lead to such a picture being considered, both here, and more particularly abroad, as a covert attack on the Democratic form of government." A June 1938 internal PCA memo indicates that Rouben Mamoulian was interested in directing the film for Columbia. No other information about the involvement of Paramount, M-G-M or Mamoulian has been found. Breen warned Columbia that the picture needed to emphasize that "the Senate is made up of a group of fine, upstanding citizens, who labor long and tirelessly for the best interests of the nation," as opposed to "Senator Joseph Paine" and his cohorts. After the script had been rewritten, Breen wrote a letter to Will H. Hays in which he stated: "It is a grand yarn that will do a great deal of good for all those who see it and, in my judgment, it is particularly fortunate that this kind of story is to be made at this time. Out of all Senator Jeff's difficulties there has been evolved the importance of a democracy and there is splendidly emphasized the rich and glorious heritage which is ours and which comes when you have a government 'of the people, by the people, and for the people.'"

The Myths and Realities of the American Cities and Suburbs

Let me have my horse, my car, my privacy and my work from home. That is ever so much more environmentally friendly than the 'greenie' prospect set forth by the new-old 'urban planners.' They demand I board some form of public (usually on rails) transportation that won't take me where I want to go or go when I want to.

Planners are conning us!

The last five Census data shows just the opposite of what urban planners were predicting and now demanding. Most of their mendacious rhetoric is in the guise of reducing our 'carbon footprint.' It is all part of the ever growing cronyism that is scamming America.

12-13-11

Joel Kotkin of NewGeography.com joins Glenn Reynolds to discuss the future of the American suburb. Kotkin thinks that the death of the suburb is greatly exaggerated, and asks why urban planners are so eager to throw people into dense living conditions. What do ideas of suburbs and urban living tell us about preconceptions of class? Find out.

Tax-Holiday Tricks Only Undermine Social Contract

The deals are off now, all social contracts were broken. It is much like an inverted neutron war where the assets are either destroyed or crumbling and the people remain amid the desolation.

Tax-Holiday Tricks Only Undermine Social Contract: Amity Shlaes - Bloomberg
Amity Shlaes 12-7-11
A Poor Bargain

The same kind of poor bargain forms the basis of the plan to extend the payroll-tax holiday under discussion in Washington this month. In the name of making Americans feel less bad about their situation now, lawmakers are proposing something that sounds good, but will actually make our financial future worse.

Start with the basics. Social Security has never been sold to Americans as a true tax or an entitlement. From 1935 on, it has always been depicted as insurance with its own account -- not as part of the general budget. When President Franklin Roosevelt first signed Social Security into law, he used the verb “to insure” on purpose. The law that regulates payments isn’t called “entitlement funding” or “welfare”; it’s called the Federal Insurance Contributions Act.

Of course, the government has often taken the cash from Social Security and left IOUs, and the program is confronting looming demographic challenges. But Social Security also resembles a bank: It doesn’t have all the money it owes, but it has always paid out in the past. Besides, it has a civic benefit. Paying money in, and then getting it back later, has taught Americans good things about savings and trust in government.

That virtuous cycle could continue. Social Security requires only a few reforms to stay solvent: raising the age at which pensions start, slowing the growth in benefit levels, and -- crucially -- ensuring that everyone pays the full amount due, every year.

Bureaucrats gone wild Trying to Entrap our Nation! No Surprises Here-- BATFE Wanted Fast and Furious to Justify Gun Control

Faking gun sales to Mexican gangsters to make up for their lies about American guns being sold to the Mexican Drug cartels is at the crux of this scandal. It was already proven that the Chinese were the major source of the Mexican guns after the administration made false allegations that it needed to control the guns from US gun shops as they were the main source of illegal weapons going south of the boarder. So in order to prove their lies, the administration's 'justice' department became the big supplier of guns to the Mexican drug cartels and lost track of the guns until they killed Americans.
A shame the 'Justice Department' thinks it should ignore the Second Amendment.

From the first moment that the American people became aware that senior BATFE officials ordered agents in the field to allow guns sold in the U.S. to be smuggled on an all-but-certain path to Mexico’s vicious drug cartels, many of us have wondered “why.”

What possible legitimate purpose could be fulfilled by allowing a large number of guns—over 2,000, by some estimates—to disappear across our southwestern border without the Mexican government’s knowledge?

There has been only one logical answer possible. Someone within the BATFE or higher in the Department of Justice wanted the smuggled guns to be recovered at crime scenes in Mexico, and traced to sources within the U.S., so that the Obama Administration could claim a need for one or another gun control measure being pushed by anti-gun groups. Someone who values gun control more than the lives of innocent people killed by cartel operatives armed with the BATFE’s “walked” guns. Someone who believes, as one BATFE official put it, that “to make an omelet, you have to break some eggs.”

Until now, there was no proof, however. But this week, CBS News reported that the BATFE “discussed using their covert operation Fast and Furious to argue for controversial new rules about gun sales.” In particular, agency officials wanted guns to fall into Mexican drug cartel hands and be traced back to gun dealers in the U.S. to make a case for requiring dealers to report individuals who buy more than one detachable-magazine semi-automatic rifle over .22 caliber in a five day period.

Merry Xmas, Bloodsucker! Obama Couldn't Wait: His New Christmas Tree Tax

NOTE: THIS TAX PLAN WAS SUDDENLY DROPPED AFTER EXPOSURE, BUT IT WILL COME BACK AGAIN. LIKE A MAMBA SNAKE, THEY KEEP AFTER PREY UNTIL THEY CAN STRIKE!

Obama has no shame!
A Bureaucracy sucking new taxes for itself to: "program of promotion, research, evaluation, and information designed to strengthen the Christmas tree industry’s position in the marketplace; maintain and expend existing markets for Christmas trees; and to carry out programs, plans, and projects designed to provide maximum benefits to the Christmas tree industry"
How much BS do they think we can take. Cut these bastards off!

Obama Couldn't Wait: His New Christmas Tree Tax
11-8-11

Obama’s Agriculture Department today announced that it will impose a new 15-cent charge on all fresh Christmas trees—the Christmas Tree Tax—to support a new Federal program to improve the image and marketing of Christmas trees.

In the Federal Register of November 8, 2011, Acting Administrator of Agricultural Marketing David R. Shipman announced that the Secretary of Agriculture will appoint a Christmas Tree Promotion Board. The purpose of the Board is to run a “program of promotion, research, evaluation, and information designed to strengthen the Christmas tree industry’s position in the marketplace; maintain and expend existing markets for Christmas trees; and to carry out programs, plans, and projects designed to provide maximum benefits to the Christmas tree industry” (7 CFR 1214.46(n)). And the program of “information” is to include efforts to “enhance the image of Christmas trees and the Christmas tree industry in the United States” (7 CFR 1214.10).

50 pound slab of blue ice falls off Air Force One narrowly missing “Occupy Las Vegas” protesters

This was covered-up by most of the US News Sources. Thanks to Mark Steyn for pointing this story out.
Obama has been dropping blue ice on America even before he was a 'Community Organizer' in Chicago.

50 pound slab of blue ice falls off Air Force One narrowly missing “Occupy Las Vegas” protesters
Steve Miller Monday, October 24, 2011
LAS VEGAS - A group of several dozen “Occupy Las Vegas” protesters camping on Clark County land located under the final approach to Runway 19 at McCarran International Airport today narrowly missed being injured when a 50 lb. slab of “blue ice” reportedly landed within feet of their tents.

According to witnesses, the slab fell to earth seconds after Air ForceOne passed overhead while landing.

Blue ice is the frozen material formed by leaks in commercial aircraft lavatory waste tanks, a mixture of human waste and vivid blue liquid disinfectant that freezes at high altitude. The ice generally dissipates long before the aircraft lands, but there have been documented cases of blue ice clinging to aircraft surfaces until the aircraft reaches warmer air on approach to landing, then the ice may separate from the aircraft and fall to earth.
