The PJ Tatler » Were Chris Lane’s Teenage Killers Really ‘Bored’? (Warning: Strong Language)
The Oklahoma teens who face first-degree murder charges have been named as Chancey Luna, James Edwards and Michael Jones. The three teens now say that they killed Lane at random because they were “bored.”
But their parents yesterday protested their innocence.
Jennifer Luna, whose son is suspected of firing the fatal shot, claimed her son was at home saying: “My son is not that way. My son is a good kid.”
It comes as Duncan Police Chief Danny Ford said he had secured the confession of the 17-year-old who summoned investigators to his jail cell and claimed he and the younger boys were bored “so they decided to kill somebody”.The 16 year old would be Chancey Luna, who still has the endorsement of his mom, above.
“He said he was the driver of the car,” Chief Ford said.
“They saw Christopher jog by the house they were at, they chose him to be the target, they got in the car, drove up behind him and shot him in the back.
“He said the 16-year-old fired the shot.”
The 15 year old is James Edwards. On August 15, a day before the shooting, the “bored” teen apparently posted a terse status update on Facebook, where he goes by the name “Lilbuggy” but his Facebook address is “blackcoon44.”
He also posted this ambiguous update, which could be taken to mean shots or music recordings. Evidently the latter.
The statistics on the page place this James Edwards in Duncan, OK.
According to other posts on the page, Edwards is an aspiring rapper.
And he’s not a fan of “snitches.”
This article sheds some light on that post. Briefly, an affiliate of Chief Keef who goes by the name Lil Durk spent time in prison on gun charges, but sees that time as positive for his music career.
