Business hurt by Second Ave. subway consruction- This happens all over the Country

Business hurt by Second Ave. subway need help--Heather Mac Donald - NYPOST.com
From the annals of "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you" nightmare.

Maria's Ravioli - CLOSED

Close to Willowbrook Mall in Wayne (Clifton), NJ, there is a freestanding building that has a relatively new façade on it. Its sign says 'Maria's Homemade Ravioli'.
Its address was 190 State Route 23, Wayne, NJ 07470, near the convergence of I-80, Routes 46 and 23. Access to the parking lot was never easy, it had a small driveway entrance that you had to look for as the road curved around to the right.
Since the early part of the decade, 2001 until 2009, there was continual roadwork, curb and corner changes, partial takings off the site to alter the curve of the roaway. All these changes were made, presumably to make access to I-80 and Route 46 from Route 23 easier. It didn't! New Jersey is not know for clear roadsigns and the merging of these highways takes a high degree of road memory and lane changing to get you to the Highway desired.
The years of roadwork and new signs to go with new lanes painted on the asphalt changed nothing, except it caused more congestion during the road construction years and you couldm't get to Maria's Ravioli.
It seemed like every time the road was finished, and the path opened to get to Maria's, a new road improvement project started right in front of Maria's driveway.
I'm now happy to report that the roadwork has finally ended for a while. You still can't get to I-80 or Route 46 any easier, but you can get to Maria's Ravioli's front door now.
The problem is the door won't open. Maria's Closed Forever!
