The federal grand jury handing
down indictments in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe looks
like a Bernie Sanders or Black Lives Matter rally according to a witness
who recently testified before the panel.
Mueller's
Russia investigation into President Donald Trump's alleged ties to
Russia was already looking fatally compromised by politics with the
overwhelmingly Democratic and anti-Trump makeup of his team. There is
also an obvious conflict of interest in the probe due to Mueller’s
friendship with former FBI Director James Comey, who leaked his own
confidential memo for the purpose of pressuring Deputy Attorney General
Rod Rosenstein into appointing a special counsel.
Now this: “The grand jury room looks like a Bernie Sanders rally,” the witness told Richard Johnson of Page Six. “Maybe they found these jurors in central casting, or at a Black Lives Matter rally in Berkeley.”
According
to Page Six's source, eleven of the twenty jurors are African-Americans
and two were wearing “peace" t-shirts. “There was only one white male
in the room, and he was a prosecutor,” the witness said.
