The NBA Joins the NFL in Driving Trump Fans Away
So much for Gregg Popovich’s greatness.
The hardcore left is correct in their post-election assessment that some of the American citizenry have gone loco. Ironically, they don’t seem to realize it is them. So far we have one mother who threw her young child out of the house for voting for Donald Trump in a mock school election and the CEO of Grubhub threating his employees’ jobs if they are Trump supporters. Nightly we have riots in urban areas protesting a free and fair election, and in Chicago, we had a citizen pulled out of his car and beaten savagely because he voted for Donald Trump.
Like a communicable virus, this madness has been inflicting liberals with an impulsive need to scold people on how they voted. This disease has now progressed unchecked to the leadership of both the NBA and the NFL.
How’s this for a pep talk from Detroit Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy regarding Donald Trump? “I don’t think anybody can deny this guy is openly and brazenly racist and misogynistic. We have just thrown a good part of our population under the bus, and I have problems with thinking this is where we are as a country.” Man, I miss the days when coaches just used to talk about X’s and O’s. Not to be outdone, I present you with Gregg Popovich, head coach of the San Antonio Spurs, “Right now I’m just trying to formulate thoughts. It’s too early. I’m just sick to my stomach. Not basically because the Republicans won or anything, but the disgusting tenor and tone and all of the comments that have been xenophobic, homophobic, racist, misogynistic. I live in that country where half of the people ignored all of that to elect someone.”
