In 1964, Lyndon Johnson used a scare-tactic ad to be re-elected to the
presidency. Now that her emails are under investigation and her campaign
is dangling by a thread, Hillary Clinton is resorting to scare tactics
also. She got the woman who played the young girl in Johnson's ad to
appear in a nuclear war scenario ad for her, so they're literally using
the same scare tactics! You know they're desperate when they're
resurrecting an ad from 50 years ago!!
A longtime Clintonite withdrew his support for Hillary Clinton
Sunday, citing "the very real possibility of a constitutional crisis"
should she be elected as his rationale.
During his Sunday appearance on the "Fox Report"
hosted by Harris Faulkner with Pat Caddell and John LeBoutillier,
Democrat consultant and pollster Doug Schoen said that it would be "very
difficult, if not impossible" for him to vote for Hillary Clinton on
November 8.
"As you know, I have been a supporter of Secretary
Clinton," Schoen began. "Given that this investigation is going to go on
for many months after the election -- if the secretary of state wins,
we will have a president under criminal investigation...."
He said that under these circumstances he would have to reassess his support.
"I'm
deeply concerned that we will have a constitutional crisis if she's
elected," Schoen said. He added, "I want to learn more this week, [and]
see what we see, but as of today, I am not a supporter of the secretary
of state for the for the nation's highest office."
Ever since it was announced, on Friday, that the FBI was pursuing new
leads into the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s e-mail server
scandal, the Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) networks have gone into attack
mode against James Comey, turning what should be a scandal about Clinton
into a smear against the FBI director.
Beginning with the evening (October 28) of the announcement through
Monday morning (October 31) MRC analysts reviewed reviewed all
statements (by reporters, analysts, and partisans) that took a position
on Comey and Clinton and found arguments against Comey (88) swamped those against Clinton (31) by a ratio of almost 3 to 1. There were a handful of statements that praised either Comey (10) or Clinton (4)
MRC analysts also discovered that the Big Three networks’ evening (ABC’s World News Tonight, CBS Evening News, NBC Nightly News) and morning show programs (ABC’s Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, NBC’s Today) devoted a total of 2 hours, 19 minutes and 49 seconds to the Comey story.
The simple, direct answer is the Weiner kept an "insurance policy".
Occam's Weiner
by Mark Steyn Steyn on America
Happy Halloweiner, the night when Anthony Weiner's undead penis rises
from its grave to bite Hillary's campaign. The stroking dead is
apparently impervious to silver bullets or garlic, and unlike vampires
it does show up in photographs, on cell phones across the globe.
So in the final week of the campaign the plot twists arrange themselves in a remarkably straightforward manner. The FBI is investigating the Clinton Foundation
- because it's a criminal enterprise: if you give a million bucks to
the the Clintons' charity, sixty grand goes to charity and the remaining
940,000 goes to fund the lifestyles of Bill, Hillary, Chelsea and their
various malodorous associates - Sid Blumenthal, Terry McAuliffe, etc.
For four years, however, those donations also bought you access to
the US Secretary of State. That's why Mrs Clinton and her coterie - Huma
Abedin, Cheryl Mills, and the other supposed "government employees" -
determined to use a private server. Because the pay-for-play was so
unsubtle you couldn't have it sitting on State Department emails
destined for the National Archives.
We now learn that the FBI are looking into 650,000 emails discovered
on Anthony Weiner's laptop, a machine Huma Abedin has told friends she
never used - as you wouldn't, if your spouse had the habits Mr Weiner
has.
Before even 24 hours had passed since the FBI director informed
Congress on Friday that it was reopening the probe into Hillary
Clinton’s emails, Clinton suggested the director was in cahoots with the
Republican Party.
“We’ve made it very clear that, if they are going to be sending this
kind of letter that is only going originally to Republican members of
the House, that they need to share whatever facts they claim to have
with the American people,” Clinton said on Friday, after initially being
blindsided by the FBI’s announcement.
“It taught the Clintons the wrong lesson: to fight
authorities if authorities questioned them — even authorities within the
Democratic Party.”
The claim wasn’t true. All you had to do is turn the page and find
Democratic members of Congress who had also received the letter from the
FBI. But it shows how ready Clinton is to fight anyone in the
government who dares investigate or question her. It is likely a habit
Clinton picked up when she was first lady, from 1993 to 2001.

Early this evening, CNN tried to catch Republican
presidential nominee Donald Trump in a heavily compromising position
over comments he made at a rally in Colorado. There was only one catch —
Trump didn’t say what they thought he said. And, when the network
realized the mistake, they tried to stealthily cover it up. In the online story of the rally,
CNN used a headline that stated that the real estate mogul urged his
supporters in the state to vote multiple times. Check out the screengrab
below of the original post.
Good for Tucker Carlson for not letting O'Malley steamroll more lies about Hillary Clinton "not being under criminal investigation". She certainly is under criminal investigation! Actually Clinton just wishes she wasn't caught! m/r
Martin O'Malley Claims Clinton Not Under FBI Probe, Will the Server Do Hard Time?
Former
Maryland governor and Democratic presidential candidate Martin O'Malley
sparred with Tucker Carlson over the latest developments in Hillary
Clinton's private email server investigation.
"The front-runner in this race is under criminal investigation by the FBI," Carlson said. O'Malley disagreed.
"The
director of the FBI just announced that...that is a factual statement,
and your position appears to be 'it's everybody's fault but hers,"
Carlson said.
"No, I don't believe when Director [James] Comey
says that he's going back to look at this other server that [former New
York Congressman] Anthony Weiner had -- I don't believe that amounts to
the fact that Hillary Clinton is under criminal investigation again. I
know that's what 'Donald Trump the Fascist' says," O'Malley responded.
"I believe she is not criminally culpable," he said.
Carlson
responded, commenting that, if the email server is still being looked
at but Clinton is not culpable, then the hardware itself must be under
investigation:
"You won't concede she's the subject of it. You
said instead it's the server. Do you think that server would do hard
time, perhaps the death penalty? ... Let’s get to reality. She’s the
subject of a criminal investigation," he said.
O'Malley
maintained that Weiner's alleged sexual misconduct--in purportedly
sending lewd pictures of himself to a North Carolina minor--is what the
FBI is chiefly investigating in this case.
The former Baltimore
mayor added that the more important scandal is whether Trump, who he
called a "fringe, third-party, fascist candidate", is allegedly aiding
Moscow in facilitating cyber-hacks of Democratic Party systems.
We must forgive Mark Twain for his error when he declared that
“history never repeats itself but it often rhymes.” After all, he’d
never met the Clintons.
If Twain were alive now, he would be astonished at how the headlines
over the e-mail scandal roiling the presidential race are virtual
repeats of the family’s 1990s saga in power.
The headlines are also an omen. A restoration of the Clinton
presidency would be a restoration of the national and moral chaos they
invariably create.
They can’t help themselves. They are corrupt and corrupters, the Typhoid Mary of politics.
Whether by nature or nurture, they are programmed to ruin. Friends, allies, institutions — all are stained by their touch.
According
to a startling Pentagon video obtained by The Intercept, the future of
global cities will be an amalgam of the settings of "Escape from New
York" and "Robocop" — with dashes of the "Warriors" and "Divergent"
thrown in. It will be a world of Robert Kaplan-esque urban hellscapes —
brutal and anarchic supercities filled with gangs of youth-gone-wild, a
restive underclass, criminal syndicates, and bands of malicious hackers.
At least that's the scenario outlined in "Megacities: Urban
Future, the Emerging Complexity," a five-minute video that has been used
at the Pentagon's Joint Special Operations University. All that stands
between the coming chaos and the good people of Lagos and Dhaka (or
maybe even New York City) is the U.S. Army, according to the video,
which The Intercept obtained via the Freedom of Information Act.
I just happened to be watching a business report, as the ticker popped up a message: "Soylent suspends production." I thought it was a bad joke. Nope. There really is a Soylent Company and even scarier, it makes a "a powder-based drink that can replace your entire diet". Unsurprisingly, people were having trouble ingesting the Soylent products, it has stopped production of its all-in-one food replacement powder. The company is now concerned about "-- repairing the inevitable damage to its brand." This is nuts! Didn't anyone at this company ever watch famous movie "Soylent Green" from 1973? Nothing turned out well and "Soylent Green is People" is not a positive marketing slogan. m/r
Crafting a powder-based drink that can replace your entire diet, it turns out, is pretty darn difficult. Following a total recall of its food bars, Soylent has slammed the brakes on its flagship powder product
too. The company says "a handful" of customers, or less than 0.1
percent, have experienced "stomach-related symptoms" similar to the ones
reported by its snack bar users. (Those, if you need a reminder,
include vomiting, diarrhoea and severe stomach pain.) Soylent is still
looking for the root of the problem. Its previous powder formula, 1.5,
appeared to be fine, so the company is narrowing its search to the
ingredients specific to 1.6 and the bars.
"We are going to continue to look into this further and share our
findings with the FDA so that they can do their own evaluation," the
company said.
There
is no question that re-opening the FBI Investigation into Hillary
Clinton’s email server is a big deal. The FBI normally avoids acting
just before an election in order to avoid charges of political
manipulation. NBC reports:
The
FBI is reviewing a new batch of Hillary Clinton emails, bureau director
James Comey said in a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee on
Friday. "In
connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence
of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation … I agreed
that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to
allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they
contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to
our investigation," he wrote.
The
very first thing to note is that Comey made no mention of a grand
jury. The emails whose existence he learned of may have been the result
of a subpoena in another investigation. If that is the case, further
subpoenas are quite possible, a tool that was left unused in the
investigation to date. There are 3 competing theories as to why he might be doing this now that come to mind.
He
might be seeking to restore his badly damaged reputation, recognizing
that the damage he has inflicted on the FBI is substantial. ...
Rush
Limbaugh today discussed an alternative theory, that by announcing an
FBI Investigation resuming, Comey is putting a lid on further attention
to Wikileaks....
It
is possible that something so dramatic came up in the pertinent emails
that postponing a public reaction by not announcing the reopening of the
investigation would, be regarded as political interference by covering
up a smoking gun until after the election....
The death of Tom Hayden last Sunday at the age of 76 produced
obituaries and tributes in scores of newspapers throughout the United
States, as well as notices of his passing on major network news
programs. In the 1960s, Hayden helped define and popularize Students for
a Democratic Society (SDS), which garnered support on many college
campuses. It was Hayden who made the phrase “participatory democracy”
popular, by which he and the original author of the phrase, philosopher
Arnold Kaufman, meant that individuals should have decision-making power
in all decisions that affect their lives. A new politics, Hayden
believed, would lead to “common participation” and put an end to apathy
and the meaningless, corrupt politics of the mainstream political
parties.
Newspapers now have produced glowing and inaccurate accounts of Hayden’s life and politics. Most egregious was The New York Times,
which started incorrectly by writing that he “burst out of the 1960s
counterculture as a radical leader of America’s civil rights and antiwar
movements.” However, unlike the apolitical and culturally oriented
counterculture leaders--such as contemporaries Abbie Hoffman, Jerry
Rubin and the so-called “Yippies”—Hayden always was political and
committed to building a serious political movement, not one based on
“tuning in, turning on and dropping out.”
The worst claim in the Times’
obituary is that Hayden was a “peace activist” who “opposed violent
protests but backed militant demonstrations.” He could be called a peace
activist only if one views someone who supported a Communist victory in
Vietnam as a proponent of “peace.” As I have written
in a past PJM column, Hayden “moved to create his own group, the
Indochina Peace Campaign, which fought nationally for an end to the war
in Vietnam. He and his wife, the movie star Jane Fonda, traveled to
North Vietnam, where he took a camera crew and came back with a
propaganda film: Introduction to the Enemy. Hayden would write
after his first trip to Vietnam that the Vietnamese Communists had
created a "rice-roots democracy." After the war’s end, when Joan Baez
passed around a petition protesting the human-rights violations of the
winning Communist side in Vietnam, Hayden denounced those who signed it
as tools of the CIA.”
Political
parties, neither mentioned in the Constitution nor foreseen by the
Founders, arose almost immediately and have, generally speaking, served
the nation well. The two-party system as we know it today dates to the
1850s. This first CCA of the 2016-2017 academic year will consider the
origin and development of the party system, as well as the history,
principles, and current state of the Democratic and Republican parties.

Now that Donald Trump has reopened the subject of term limits for
Congress in his Gettysburg speech, it's time to turn to the subject of
term limits for a group that may need them even more -- the media.
The moment couldn't be more auspicious since WikiLeaks has just exposed 65 "journalists"--coming from such august names in the field as TheNew York Times, The New Yorker, TheWashington Post,
the Associated Press, Bloomberg, Reuters, CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC-- who
were at some level in cahoots with the Hilary Clinton presidential
campaign.
Does anyone doubt this number will grow? Of course not,
although it already encompasses almost all the prominent brands in the
mainstream media.

According to a poll conducted by Chapman University, 42 per cent of Americans are afraid of clowns, whereas only 32 per cent are afraid of climate change.
They’re also more scared of terrorist attacks (41 per cent), gun
rights infringement (38 per cent), family members dying (38 per cent),
economic collapse (37 per cent), Obamacare (36 per cent), and biological
warfare (35 per cent).
...
I’d disagree. The results of the poll suggests that Americans have a
generally sensible perspective on what constitutes a genuine threat to
their wellbeing – top of the list, even higher than a terrorist attack,
is corrupt government (61 per cent).

WOFFORD HEIGHTS, Calif. — Angel Gilberto Garcia-Avalos had been
deported five times in just the past four years, yet each time he has
managed to sneak from Mexico
back into the U.S., where he ended up in more mischief: driving without
a license, attempted burglary and felony weapons charges.
In
August, he graduated to full-fledged mayhem, sparking a fire in the
Sequoia National Forest that has already cost the government $61 million
and left some of the country’s most beautiful landscape scarred for
years to come. Garcia,
who pleaded guilty last month and faces 13 months in prison, had only
recently been released from the Kern County Jail. He likely would have
been deported again, but local authorities were unable to report him to
immigration authorities because of California’s new sanctuary city law,
which prohibited the sheriff from communicating with federal agents.
Federal agents now say they will kick Garcia out of the country once he serves his latest sentence, but the damage has already been done.

""Migrant rights trump women's rights" and "migrant rights trump
children's rights" and (in some of the most grisly cases) "migrant
rights trump disabled rights". It's not that there's only three or four -
or seven or twelve, or 29 or 97 or 236 or 1,768 - rapes. It's not the
"small" number of cases, but the fact that, in a fainthearted age
prostrate before the multicultural pieties, these "few" cases are
changing us. So that the most eminent jurists in Austria feel obliged to
assimilate with their invaders: hey, how was poor old Amir supposed to
know the cute l'il moppet wasn't consenting to anal rape?"
AN IRAQI asylum seeker who confessed to raping a
10-year-old boy in a swimming pool, claiming it was a "sexual
emergency", has had his conviction overturned.
This was a Viennese rape case that received quite a bit of coverage a
few months ago, mainly because of the accused's defense that he was
undergoing a "sexual emergency": Like almost 80 per cent of "refugees",
Amir is a fit young man. He'd scrammed out of the country leaving his
wife behind and therefore had not enjoyed conjugal relations for four
months. Hence the "sexual emergency":
When the youngster went to the showers, Amir A.
allegedly followed him, pushed him into a toilet cubicle, and violently
sexually assaulted him. Following the attack, the accused rapist returned to the pool and
was practising on the diving board when police arrived, after the
10-year-old raised the alarm with the lifeguard. The child suffered severe anal injuries which had to be treated at
a local children's hospital, and is still plagued by serious
post-traumatic stress disorder.
Amir was convicted of rape and serious sexual assault of a minor and
sentenced to six years. However, the Austrian Supreme Court has now
quashed the verdict. But hang on, didn't the guy confess? Ah, yes,
but...
The Supreme Court yesterday overturned the conviction,
accepting the defence lawyer's claim that the original court had not
done enough to ascertain whether or not the rapist realised the child
was saying no...
You might think the screams would have been a clue there, but apparently not:
The appeal court said the initial ruling should have
dealt with whether the offender thought that the victim had agreed with
the sexual act, or whether he had intended to act against his will.

It is one of the stock hypocrisies of United Nations climate
careerists, that while deploring carbon-emitting travel by everyone
else, they have turned the UN into a prodigious generator of long,
lavish and frequent "climate-change" conferences, held in enticing or
exotic locales worldwide -- in places such as Bali, Rio, Cancun and
Paris.
From around the globe, participants board airliners (many
of their tickets subsidized by your tax dollars) and carbon-emit their
way to the next jamboree. From these grand climate shindigs, UN
officials emerge to promise that if we'll just trust them to allocate a
couple of things of ever-expanding scope -- for instance, the wealth of
the developed world and the energy flows of the planet -- they will aim
over the next century or so to fine-tune the temperature of the earth to
within a few decimal points of where it was on Al Gore's 60th
birthday...or something like that.
It's the kind of performance
that needs a skeptical eye, and full access by an independent press. It
should be cause for great alarm when the conference authorities start
walling out any reporters they suspect might dissent from UN climate
doctrine.
Which is exactly what's going on.
Young Americans are stunningly ignorant of the tragic history of
Communism. A new study found that millennials and the youngest
generation (Generation Z) are unfamiliar with past Communist leaders,
underestimate the number of people killed under Communism, and support
the collectivist ideas of Bernie Sanders. Terrifyingly, almost a third
of millennials think more people were killed under President George W.
Bush than under Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin.
"One of the
concerns the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation has had since its
establishment is that an emerging generation of Americans have little
understanding of the collectivist system and its dark history,"declared Marion Smith, executive director of the organization, which sponsored the report on U.S. attitudes toward socialism.
"Unfortunately,
this Report, which we intend to release on an annual basis, confirms
this worrisome impression," Smith concluded.
Indeed, the report — compiled by research and data firm YouGov — paints a dark picture of young Americans' attitudes about collectivism.
More
than a quarter of Americans (26 percent) and almost a full third of
millennials (32 percent) said that more people were killed under George
W. Bush than Joseph Stalin.
This is the outrageous mega-government we've got and it is growing bigger. Welcome to trying to deal with the giant black hole of the Government. Are they trying to get the bonuses back from those who were wounded or died too? m/r
Thousands of California National Guard soldiers have been by asked by
the Pentagon to pay back improperly paid reenlistment bonuses from
nearly a decade ago.
During an interview on the FOX Business Network, one former
soldier affected by the payment error said she first received the
notification to return the money, which totaled more than $15,000, in
2012.
“I’m paying it back. They took money out of my paycheck while I
was still in the military. And now that I’m retired they're asking me to
pay $650 dollars a month which is about a quarter of our income,”
former U.S. Army Master Sergeant Susan Haley explained.
... Even though it's
not your fault that these mistakes were made, you still have to pay
this money back. I even asked for a reduction in payments and they
haven't allowed that,” Haley said.
Hillary routinely bullied her bodyguards — and with the worst
language possible.
Hillary Clinton’s “treatment of DS [Department of State] agents on her
protective detail was so contemptuous that many of them sought
reassignment or employment elsewhere,” according to a just-released
summary of an FBI interview with a former State Department official.
“Prior to CLINTON’s tenure, being an agent on the Secretary of State’s
protective detail was seen as an honor and privilege reserved for senior
agents. However, by the end of CLINTON’s tenure, it was staffed largely
with new agents because it was difficult to find senior agents willing
to work for her.”
Clinton’s State Department agents are hardly the first to complain about
her bullying.
“She derives pleasure from lording over other people who cannot do
anything about it and who are less powerful than she is,” author Ronald
Kessler told Newsmax TV’s J. D. Hayworth.
In fact, Clinton’s well-documented history of profane, unhinged
outbursts against those who work for her spans decades.
While Clinton’s vulgarity is presented here in relatively
family-friendly form, fill in the blanks and imagine the pain that this
woman inflicted when she uttered these words.

Insurers are raising the 2017 premiums for a popular and significant
group of health plans sold through HealthCare.gov by an average of 25
percent, more than triple the increase for this year, according to new
government figures.
The spike in average rates for the 38 states
that rely on the federal marketplace created under the Affordable Care
Act was announced by federal health officials on Monday. The figures
serve broadly to confirm what has become evident piecemeal in recent
months: Prompted by a burden of unexpectedly sick ACA customers, some
insurers are dropping out while many remaining companies are struggling
to cover their costs.
In disclosing the 2017 rates, officials
played down the impact of higher prices on consumers. They said that
more than eight in 10 consumers will qualify for ACA subsidies that will
cushion them from sticker shock. And they noted that as premiums go up,
more Americans will be eligible for the tax credits.

Decades before social media and email, a remarkable but unsung Bronx housewife named Ruth Goldstock told her grandson, “Never put anything in writing that you wouldn’t want on the front page of The New York Times.”
These days, that wise advice applies to private communications by

executives.
Elsewhere in America, when emails that the author assumed would never
see the light of day became public he suffers some form of
consequences—you know, stuff like plummeting poll numbers, possible jail
time or forced resignation. This goes for everybody from Hillary
Clinton and the former head of Sony Pictures on down.
But if you’re a Politico or New York Times scribe or CNBC
anchor John Harwood and hacked emails emerge that reveal you outright
colluding with Hillary Clinton campaign—by giving advice
or providing the communications director “veto” power over what to
include from your interview with the candidate or allowing campaign
chair John Podesta veto power over your stories—that is another matter.

Nov. 8 may very well go down in history as the day Americans signed
our nation’s death certificate. We the people need to understand what is
at stake in the most important election in U.S. history. A Hillary Clinton
vote will mean the death of free speech, the right to bear arms, and
the right to life for the unborn. Most significantly, a vote for Mrs. Clinton will give birth to an Islamic theocracy and its supremacist ideology here in America. Donald Trump still has time to expose Mrs. Clinton as the candidate whose subversive policies will bring this great nation to its knees. It’s time for Mr. Trump to get specific and go for her Achilles heel — Benghazi.
Russia has purportedly exposed Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama
as complicit for the turmoil in the Middle East, and now they are
working feverishly to quiet those revelations by claiming that Russia is
hijacking the election. Mr. Trump must use his platform to further expose the ugly truth about Hillary Clinton and her dangerous agenda. If he doesn’t, we have everything to lose. Mrs. Clinton
understands full well that Benghazi is a representation of what happens
when world leaders play with fire — and that fire is Islam. The attack
on our embassy and CIA compound in Libya was not an isolated Muslim
attack on Americans because of an inflammatory video against Islam.
Rather, it was a demonstration of what happens when two sects of Islam
are represented by powerful nations, each side seeking the defeat of the
other. Though the attack on Sept. 11, 2012 and the deaths of four men
seem to be a mere bump in the road for Mrs. Clinton, the precipitating event and the aftermath reverberate today.
Baghdad
(AFP) - Iraq's parliament on Saturday voted to ban the sale, import and
production of alcohol, in a surprise move likely to anger some
minorities but also to please influential religious parties.
Proponents of the ban argue that it is justified by the constitution, which prohibits any law contradicting Islam.
But some opponents argue that it also violates the same constitution which guarantees the traditions of religious minorities.
According
to an MP and a parliament official, the ban was a last-minute addition

flat-footed.
No dissent is allowed! UN's Global Warming Position is a Crock, to put it nicely. The only part of it the UN wants is "Global", as in control, fees and taxation! m/r
CAUGHT ON TAPE: UN bans skeptical journalists from climate summit for holding views not ‘particularly helpful’
UN official Nick Nuttall (NNuttall@unfccc.int)
on why conservative media outlet is being banned: 'I don't see what
they are actually reporting as being particularly helpful." Even establishment & warmist CBC was having none of the UN's excuses. CBC to UN: 'Do people have to prove that they're helpful in
order to be accredited journalists?' - 'So it does seem that what Mr.
Levant is saying is true — that you didn't like his point of view.'
The United Nations has rejected the media credentials of three journalists from a conservative news outlet in Canada to the upcoming UN climate summit in Morocco in November. Nick Nuttall, a UN official, admitted in an October 18 CBC interview
that The Rebel news outlet is being banned from attending the UN summit
because of its skeptical reporting of the UN’s climate claims.
Nuttall tried to justify the UN media ban by noting that The Rebel TV host Ezra Levant has called UN promoted climate change fears a “crock.”
“What does [calling climate change a ‘crock’] add to the public’s understating?” Nuttall asked the CBC.
The UN’s Nuttall told the CBC, “I don’t see what he is actually reporting, you know, as being particularly helpful.”
But much to the shock of the UN official, the warmist Canadian
Broadcasting Corp’s (CBC) Carol Off was having none of it. The
CBC’s Off openly challenged the UN’s censorship of the media outlet.
“Do people have to prove that they’re helpful in order to be
accredited journalists?” Off, who hosts the ‘As it Happens’ program on
the CBC, asked the UN’s Nutgall.
Lawn signs are a joke and I do not think they influence more than a few feebleminded votes. Where I grew up, they were unseen and I never saw many of them until I moved to the New York area. For the most part they are ego statements by local politicians to get their names out in the open. These locals will usually ask if they can have a lawn sign placed in from of your home. No fee was involved, just a thanks from the candidate. I live in a terribly leftwing area. I would occasionally have a Republican's lawn sign for the Gubernatorial or Presidential candidate to tweak the neighbors. These signs were all for free. Around my home, Trump signs are nonexistent. For a while Bernie signs grew out of more lawns than Hillary signs. There is even a 'Stein for President' lawn sign. So I heard a person asked how he got a Hillary Clinton sign for his lawn. He said HE HAD TO PAY FOR IT! Now I ask, is nothing sacred to this leach on society? m/r
MIAMI (AP) — A woman performing the national anthem before an
NBA preseason game in Miami on Friday night did so while kneeling at
midcourt, and opening her jacket to show a shirt with the phrase “Black
Lives Matter.”
The singer was identified by the Heat as Denasia Lawrence. It was
unclear if she remained in the arena after the performance, and messages
left for her were not immediately returned.
Heat players and coaches stood side-by-side for the anthem, all with
their arms linked as has been their custom during the preseason. Many
had their heads down as Lawrence sang, and the team released a statement
saying it had no advance knowledge that she planned to kneel.
State regulators crack down on free political speech.
Call President Barack Obama a communist in Nebraska and you could pay a hefty price.
Just ask Robert Bennie Jr., a successful financial adviser and former leader of the tea party in the state capital of Lincoln.
Bennie and the employer that eventually fired him were hounded and harassed by the Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance for months, in large part due to Bennie’s political views, according to his attorneys.
And while a U.S. appeals court agreed with a lower court that
the regulators “targeted Bennie partly in retaliation for his
constitutionally protected political speech,” the agency’s harassing
activities did not rise to a First Amendment violation — to “deter
someone of ordinary firmness from continuing to speak.”
After an arduous and costly six-year legal fight, Bennie, assisted by his attorneys at the nonprofit, public interest Pacific Legal Foundation, is taking his case to the U.S. Supreme Court.
“Our First Amendment rights can be cancelled out if government can
punish people for exercising those rights,” said PLF attorney Wen Fa.
“That is what happened to Bob Bennie — he was the victim of a vendetta
campaign by bureaucrats because they were offended by his political
views.”
The boys and Brazile joyfully serve their mistress and Democrat masters.
Despite a past Democratic nominee
inventing the internet, the current party standard bearer struggles
terribly with gizmos, gadgets, and other doohickeys associated with
interweb technology.
Hackers CC the emails of since-removed DNC chair Debbie Wasserman
Schultz, Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, and current DNC chair
Donna Brazile to, well, everyone. But Hillary Clinton wants us to
believe that foreign hackers overlooked her inclusion of classified
documents on a private server. They just targeted all of her friends and
ignored her. Sure, and she “lost” those 13 missing Blackberry devices the FBI wanted, too. One secretary of state’s indiscretion is the same presidential
candidate’s discretion. She failed to protect classified documents in an
effort to protect herself. Freedom of Information Act requests and
Congressional subpoenas for public records prove terrible nuisances to
one’s political ambitions. Best for the candidate to keep her doings
secret — from her government but none of the others. Clinton corrupted her office. So, too, do her well-wishers in the
Fourth Estate who misheard “speaking truth to power” in journalism
school as “sucking up to power.” “From time to time I get the questions in advance,” Donna Brazile
informed Clinton campaign manager John Podesta. Brazile, supposedly
impartial as both a CNN employee and DNC official, provided Clinton’s
campaign manager with the text of a question on the death penalty asked
the next day at a CNN debate between Mrs. Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
She allegedly received the question from TV One’s Roland Martin, also
supposedly impartial as a moderator of the town hall-style debate. -go to link-
Pat Caddell told Breitbart News Daily
SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Thursday, “Selective memory is exactly the
point” when it comes to the mainstream media’s reaction to Republican
nominee Donald Trump suggesting he would wait and see before accepting
the election results on November 8.
“All he said was, ‘I’ll wait and see what the results are,’ which is a
reasonable position, I suppose,” said Caddell, also pointing out that
Democrats challenged the results of the presidential elections in 2000
and 2004. Hillary Clinton and Al Gore were still claiming Al Gore won the 2000 election as recently as last week in Florida on the stump together:
As the crowd chanted and Hillary smiled and nodded approvingly, Gore continued his thought process by suggesting that he actually won
the 2000 election by warning the young voters to not be in a position
“years from now” welcoming Hillary Clinton and saying to her “actually
you did win, it just wasn’t close enough to make sure that the votes
were counted.” Through this entire sequence, Mrs. Clinton continued to smile and nod in agreement.
