"Everything Old is New Again"

In the late 19th and early 20th Century, same day service, many times one hour service, for deliveries was common in New York and many other cities. That was still in the horse-drawn age. "Speed and convenience" substantially slowed down that process after the 1920s.
When I was in Hong Kong, I almost never carried a package. Everything was delivered, usually in a hour, that is unless it was to be custom fitted. Then it was the next day.

Google Express delivery service debuts in New York

- Google Express is Google's answer to Amazon Prime. It hit the East Coast Wednesday. The same-day delivery service lets you order from major retailers like Costco, Kohl's, Whole Foods, and PetSmart.
