Valerie Jarrett: We Handled that Paris Thing Pretty Well, Huh? | The American Spectator
-Full Short Post-
And, of course, if anyone deserves some time off, it's the White House. After all, they think they've done a banner job handling all of this Paris nonsense, at least according to Senior White House Advisor Valerie Jarrett, who appeared on CNN this morning to sing the praises of the Administration's approach to foreign affairs.
CNN HOST: Secretary of State John Kerry has arrived in Paris, he says he wants to share a big hug with the French people, do you and President Obama regret not sending someone to Paris sooner?Saying that they'd have "loved to be at the parade" implies they had something more pressing to do. I'm not sure that's been established, though I do know that Fantasy Football leagues can get a bit competitive towards the end of the season, and Joe Biden is having a harder than normal time keeping the Trans Am in tip-top shape during DC's deep freeze. I'm positive, however, that John Kerry's great big hug for the people of France will more than make up for the absence of a major world leader an important global event.
VALERIE JARRETT: I think as we saw, certainly we would have loved to participate in the parade, I remind you that Atty. Gen. Holder was in Paris for a very important meeting...
I think we certainly got the substance right but it would have been great joy to participate in the parade, and were glad that Secretary Kerry is there now.
That said, it's nice to know that Valerie Jarett has maintained her trademark delusional optimism over the President's performance straight through to the very end.
