A university should not be a closed club that accepts only those who pass a political litmus test.
Conservatives often complain that the faculties in America’s colleges and universities are dominated by closed-minded liberals who restrict free conversation on campus in favor of leftist indoctrination.Now the Faculty Council at Rutgers University in New Brunswick is trying to prove those conservatives right. The faculty group passed a resolution recently urging the board of trustees to rescind its invitation to former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to speak at this year’s commencement. ...
