The Banana Republic Book - Obama’s Great (South) American Novel

The Twenty-First Century "Roots."
His own "Three Cups of Corruption" that he wants us to swallow. Obama's ideas about what he can do to America has more to do with Hugo Chavez than the U. S. Presidency.
Ironically,  David Maraniss seems to still harbor Obama sycophancy. But the facts and David Maraniss's honesty could not cover up the blatant lies and self delusion of this impostor for a president. m/r

Obama’s Great American Novel - Mark Steyn - National Review Online

We’re too busy inventing ourselves to be interested in the truth.
By Mark Steyn
June 23, 2012

Courtesy of David Maraniss’s new book, we now know that yet another key prop of Barack Obama’s identity is false: His Kenyan grandfather was not brutally tortured or even non-brutally detained by his British colonial masters. The composite gram’pa joins an ever-swelling cast of characters from Barack’s “memoir” who, to put it discreetly, differ somewhat in reality from their bit parts in the grand Obama narrative. The best friend at school portrayed in Obama’s autobiography as “a symbol of young blackness” was, in fact, half Japanese, and not a close friend. The white girlfriend he took to an off-Broadway play that prompted an angry post-show exchange about race never saw the play, dated Obama in an entirely different time zone, and had no such world-historically significant conversation with him. His Indonesian step-grandfather supposedly killed by Dutch soldiers during his people’s valiant struggle against colonialism met his actual demise when he “fell off a chair at his home while trying to hang drapes.”
David Maraniss is no right-winger, and can’t understand why boorish non-literary types have seized on his book as evidence that the president of the United States is a Grade A phony. “It is a legitimate question about where the line is in memoir,” he told Soledad O’Brien on CNN. My Oxford dictionary defines “memoir” as “an historical account or biography written from personal knowledge.” And if Obama doesn’t have “personal knowledge” of his tortured grandfather, war-hero step-grandfather, and racially obsessed theater-buff girlfriend, who does? But in recent years, the Left has turned the fake memoir into one of the most prestigious literary genres: Oprah’s Book Club recommended James Frey’s A Million Little Pieces, hailed by Bret Easton Ellis as a “heartbreaking memoir” of “poetic honesty,” but subsequently revealed to be heavy on the “poetic” and rather light on the “honesty.” The “heartbreaking memoir” of a drug-addled street punk who got tossed in the slammer after brawling with cops while high on crack with his narco-hooker girlfriend proved to be the work of some suburban Pat Boone type with a couple of parking tickets. (I exaggerate, but not as much as he did.)
Oprah was also smitten by The Education of Little Tree, the heartwarmingly honest memoir of a Cherokee childhood which turned out to be concocted by a former Klansman whose only previous notable literary work was George Wallace’s “Segregation Forever” speech. Fragments: Memories of a Wartime Childhood is a heartbreakingly honest, poetically searing, searingly painful, painfully honest, etc. account of Binjamin Wilkomirski’s unimaginably horrific boyhood in the Jewish ghetto of Riga and the Nazi concentration camp at Auschwitz. After his memoir won America’s respected National Jewish Book Award, Mr. Wilkomirski was inevitably discovered to have been born in Switzerland and spent the war in a prosperous neighborhood of Zurich being raised by a nice middle-class couple.  He certainly had a deprived childhood, at least from the point of view of a literary agent pitching a memoir to a major publisher. But the “unimaginable” horror of his book turned out to be all too easily imagined. Fake memoirs have won the Nobel Peace Prize and are taught at Ivy League schools to the scions of middle-class families who take on six figure debts for the privilege (I, Rigoberta MenchĂș). They’re handed out by the Pentagon to senior officers embarking on a tour of Afghanistan (Greg Mortenson’s Three Cups of Tea) on the entirely reasonable grounds that a complete fantasy could hardly be less credible than current NATO strategy.

How Gay! Gay activists make obscene gesture at Reagan White House portrait

Just more classy behavior at the Obama White House.
A bunch of cretins blaming Reagan for their own wildly irresponsible behavior that caused the explosion of AIDS.

Gay activists make obscene gesture at Reagan White House portrait - Washington Times

The Washington Times - June 22, 2012

The White House expressed disapproval Friday of photographs showing gay-rights activists, guests of President Obama, making obscene gestures at the portrait of President Reagan during a gay-pride reception at the White House last week.
"While the White House does not control the conduct of guests at receptions, we certainly expect that all attendees conduct themselves in a respectful manner," said White House spokesman Shin Inouye. "Most all do. These individuals clearly did not. Behavior like this doesn’t belong anywhere, least of all in the White House."
Matthew "Matty" Hart and Zoe Strauss, both from the Philadelphia area, posted photographs of themselves on Facebook giving the middle finger to Mr. Reagan's official portrait hanging in the White House as they attended the party.
At the reception, Mr. Obama told the attendees that the day is approaching when gay citizens will enjoy full equality in America.
"We'll get there because of every man and woman and activist and ally who is moving us forward by the force of their moral arguments, but more importantly, by the force of their example," Mr. Obama said.
Mr. Hart didn't return a call seeking comment, but he told Philadelphia magazine that he despises Mr. Reagan's legacy.
"Yeah, f--- Reagan," Mr. Hart said.

The Climate Change Boutique is now closed. Time to face music and run from the sham!

It was fun to hip and cool, getting down with saving the earth from us, but when it comes to a financial reality and international extortion, the reality of the Climate Scam suddenly becomes real.

Planet Gore - National Review Online

Words flew as CFACT’s Craig Rucker and Sir Richard Branson squared off at the Rio+20 Earth Summit in Brazil. Surrounded by Greenpeace activists, Branson was leaving the Greenpeace press conference just as Rucker was entering for CFACT’s press event.
Rucker seized the opportunity to confront the globe-trotting, fossil-fuel-burning Branson about his unlikely position on global warming.
“Sir, do you support the European carbon tax on your own planes going from the United States to Europe?” Rucker asked. Clearly surprised, Branson responded that he would prefer that it be an “international tax, rather than just one area of the world.”
Such an idea is not unheard of. In fact, one of the items on the negotiating table here at Rio+20 is a tax — ranging from 0.2 to 0.7 percent — on international financial transactions, which would generate billions of dollars per year, and would be sent directly to the United Nations. It is unusual for the head of multinational corporations to support such radical policies.
Rucker then asked whether it would be wise for Branson to tax his clients, considering that “support for global-warming science is eroding worldwide.” Over one thousand climate scientists dispute the hypothesis that global warming is man-made, Rucker noted, and over 31,000 natural scientists have signed a statement saying there is no convincing evidence that humans are causing catastrophic global warming.
Nonetheless, Branson refused to concede the point, insisted that “even if we are mistaken about that [global warming], I think it is good — we’re running out of oil, so we need to move into clean fuels as soon as possible.”
He’s equally wrong about the world running out of oil. However, Rucker will have to take that up with him next time they cross paths, as Branson was quickly ushered away by his entourage.

Is there something that Democrat politicians ingest to cause serious retardation? House bill extends TSA intel sharing to mass transit

House bill extends TSA intel sharing to mass transit - FederalNewsRadio.com

The Transportation Security Administration already shares intelligence it collects with airports. Now a House bill would expand TSA's intel sharing to local mass transit systems as well.
Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.), the bill's sponsor, said the legislation is a "common sense approach" to fighting terrorism. The House passed the bill May 30 and the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs is now considering the bill.
In an interview with The Federal Drive with Tom Temin and Emily Kopp, Speier said the bill creates "fusion centers" where TSA can provide intel to local law enforcement and emergency management officials.
"We have put in place through TSA a very elaborate system [in airports]. We all go through those metal detectors and those secondary searches.

The Classic Definition of Fascism (the Liberal Kind) Washington's Parasitic Economy

Fairness the Obama Way. These leeches have got to be cut off!

Washington's Parasitic Economy with The Weekly Standard's Andrew Ferguson - Hit & Run : Reason.com
 &  | June 22, 2012

Washington, D.C. "is basically a parasitic economy," says author and Weekly Standard Senior EditorAndrew Ferguson. "It sucks up the money from the rest of the country and puts people to work here."
In a recent Time magazine article titled "Bubble on the Potomac," Ferguson argues that D.C.-area residents are growing ever richer at the expense of the rest of the country, which has created a cultural disconnect that results in bad laws.
Ferguson sat down with ReasonTV Correspondent Kennedy to discuss his article, and the various ways in which D.C.'s riches are hurting the nation.
Ferguson is also the author of Crazy U: One Dad's Crash Course in Getting His Kid Into College andLand of Lincoln: Adventures in Abe's America. For more on those books and the author, visithttp://www.andrewfergusonbooks.com/ .

Hatred of Israel Brings the KKK and Democrats Back Together

Democrats have always been the party of the Klan, corruption, communists, criminals and cronies. And it works seamlessly with the Black Caucus.

A primary contest taking place in New York next Tuesday portends yet another embarrassment for the Democrat Party. In the newly re-drawn 8th Congressional District, City Councilman Charles Barron is running against state Assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries for the Democratic nomination to succeed retiring Rep. Ed Towns. Yesterday, the African-American Barron picked up an endorsement from former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke. How is this possible? As Duke explained, “The possible election of a dedicated anti-Zionist to the U.S. Congress, has thrown the Zionist-influenced media and the Zio-political establishment in a tizzy,” he said in a web video.
Duke, a self-described “white nationalist,” clarified his reasoning for backing one black American against another black American in a race far away from his home state of Louisiana. “In a race for Congress between an anti-Zionist black activist and a black activist who is a bought and paid for Zionist Uncle Tom, I’ll take the anti-Zionist any day,” Mr. Duke continues in the video. “In this election of limited choices, I believe that Charles Barron is the best choice. Why? Because I think there’s no greater danger facing the United States of America and facing the world than the unbridled power of Zionist globalism.”
The reason for Duke’s support is obvious: Since Barron’s election to City Council in 2001, he has associated himself with anti-Israel groups and regularly demonized the State of Israel. In a 2009 interview with the Amsterdam News, he referred to the Gaza Strip as “a virtual death camp, the same kind of conditions the Nazis imposed on the Jews,” further claiming the Jews “massacre the Palestinian people, bomb their homes, churches and schools, and then block anybody trying to deliver aid to them. What this amounts to is genocide.”
He has also insisted Israel should never have been created, asking Brooklyn churchgoers in June 2010, “Where should we start? Should we start with the 1906 Zionist Convention, or in 1914, with the Balfour Declaration? With Menachem Begin, the terrorists, all the wars, you want to discuss Israel becoming a state in 1948 when it should not have? Who are the terrorists? You want to talk about the definition of terrorism? How do you define acts of piracy?”

Obama is a classic example of taking all the privileges and none of the responsibility! Can We Blame President Bush for Everything?

Obama can't take credit for much, and the one thing he touts the most as his great accomplishment, killing Bin Laden, was a covert plan already in place and set in motion under the Bush administration. It is the one thing Obama could directly place the responsibility for on Bush.
Obama is not even a child of American affirmative action or civil rights legislation. He was out of the county for much of his use. Yet he reaped many of the benefits from the Great Society and its subsequent programs. It was 'shovel ready' for him to benefit by.
Unfortunately much of what used as the rationalization for Civil Rights legislation was and is predicated upon blame, benefits and irresponsibility.
George W. Bush did a terrible job a the helm in controlling the budgets out of both Republican and  Democrat Congresses. Spending was uncontrolled, then it became uncontrollable. But Obama is in his fourth year in office and it is high time for him to take some responsibility for his own Presidency. If he can't, then he should get out or be put out! m/r

Can We Blame President Bush for Everything?

by BURT on JUNE 20, 2012
“What a mess we inherited from President Bush!” is the mantra President Obama and the Democrats repeat when microphones are near. But what did President Bush contribute to the Great Recession? Above all, President Obama cites the Bush tax cuts, and how that shoveled dollars to Wall Street “fat cats” to invest recklessly. Those tax cuts are on the chopping block, and President Obama wants them to expire at the end of this year.
The Bush tax cuts, passed in 2003, did three things: first, they cut the top rate on the income tax from 39.6 to 35%; second, dividend tax rates were cut from 39.6 to 15%; and third, the capital gains tax was cut from 20 to 15%. When those cuts became law, the U.S. economy, still reeling from 9/11 and also the dot.com bubble, came storming back to life. In the next four years, household net worth jumped almost 50%; employment skyrocketed by 2,000,000 jobs each of the next four years; and more millionaires began paying taxes from ever larger incomes. In 2003, according to Art Laffer and Steve Moore, 17,294 Americans paid taxes on more than $5 million income. In 2007, that number soared 137% to 40,931 Americans who paid taxes on incomes over $5 million. The stock market rose, and revenue into the federal government sharply increased.
In 2008, reporter Charlie Gibson of ABC News asked presidential candidate Obama about the capital gains tax cut. Gibson stated, “When the rate dropped, revenues from the tax increased,” but candidate Obama responded, “Well, Charlie, what I’ve said is that I would look at raising the capital gains tax for purposes of fairness.” That’s an odd point of view, but even if we accept it, is it “for purposes of fairness” fair to concede that President Bush’s tax cuts raised much new revenue, but then blame them for somehow contributing to the Great Recession? If so, the president needs to give us a clear explanation.

Kind of Ironic that Black "Leaders" Hate their former big supporters. Black Leaders’ Vendetta Against Israel

Tutu's anti-Semitism: “The Jews are a peculiar people.
They can’t ever hope to be judged by the same standards which are used for other people.”
Black anti-Semitism is nothing new. It has always been present, but hidden, so as not to expose the real ugliness behind racial politics.

Black Leaders’ Vendetta Against Israel | FrontPage Magazine

By Giulio Meotti On June 21, 2012 @ 12:28 am In Daily Mailer,FrontPage | 10 Comments

We are currently witnessing the sharp rise of a strong anti-Semitic movement among the Western black elite. The leaders of the American Jewish community, who embraced an ultra-liberal agenda, have in the past worked with the black leaders of the civil rights organizations, like the late Martin Luther King, who was very sympathetic to Jewish concerns and to Israel. But now there is a strong pro-Islamic movement among American blacks, sympathetic to the Arabs, whose participation in the slave trade is overlooked.

Alice Walker, author of “The Color Purple,” just recently refused to authorize a Hebrew translation of her prize-winning book, saying that “Israel is guilty of apartheid and persecution of the Palestinian people, both inside Israel and also in the Occupied Territories.” Not only did Walker support the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel, but she also said that Israeli policies are “worse” than the segregation she suffered as an American youth and said South Africans had told her it was worse than Apartheid.

A complete list of the Afro-American personalities who have embraced an anti-Israel stance is long and exhaustive.

Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s pastor in Chicago, his spiritual father, his guide, his model, compared Israel to Nazi Germany and called the Jewish State a “deformed modern apartheid.” Andy Young and Jesse Jackson reached out to Yasser Arafat’s terrorists and Reverend Jesse Jackson even said that then-Senator Barack Obama, if elected president, would lessen the influence of, quote, “Zionists” on US foreign policy. Gerald Lenoir, executive director of the Black Alliance for Just Immigration, an education and advocacy group, declared that “as an African-American who was a leader in the U.S. anti-apartheid movement, I see the separate and unequal treatment of Palestinians as a form of apartheid and a crime against humanity.” An Afro-American icon like the writer Toni Morrison charged Israel with “the liquidation of the Palestinian nation,” while Archbishop Desmond Tutu repeatedly condemns “Israel’s apartheid” and recently penned an article in The Tampa Bay Times where he descended into rank anti-Semitism: “The Jews are a peculiar people. They can’t ever hope to be judged by the same standards which are used for other people.”

The new black anti-Semitism finds expression not only in the “Zionism is Racism” indictment, but the further indictment of the Jewish State as “the new apartheid.” In the hands of the black leaders, apartheid has become the most powerful term for demonizing Israel, since it evokes the precedent of sanctions against the white regime in South Africa.
