Historical photographs from World War II show the formidable fortifications built to create the "Atlantic Wall" to thwart the Allied Invasion of Europe. Some of these blockhouses seem outwardly similar to some of Frank Lloyd Wright's most famous architectural designs.
Wright's "Falling Water" has similarities to the German 'Blockhaus' in Normandy and the Guggenheim Museum is also reminiscent of the wartime fortifications.
