That's Funny, Weren't the Crips and Bloods Black Gangs?

As I park to shop in various grocery and drug stores during these WuFlu days, I noticed that several customers are now showing solidarity with their chosen gangs. They are wearing the gang's symbolic membership bandanas. The strange thing is, these are white men and women of various ages.
When did gangsterism go mainstream outside of politics?
