'I’m not a scientist either, but we’ve got some good ones at NASA.'
Obama gave the commencement address for the University of California Irvine Saturday and ridiculed those who do not buy-in to his radical energy agenda justified by global warming concerns.
It's pretty rare that you'll encounter somebody who says the problem you're trying to solve simply doesn't exist. When President Kennedy set us on a course to the moon, there were a number of people who made a serious case that it wouldn't be worth it. But nobody ignored the science. I don't remember anybody saying the moon wasn't there or that it was made of cheese.
The famous Obama straw men were out in full force doing a full Ray Bolger performance as he ridiculed imaginary politicians who (according to him) claim not to have definitive scientific basis for believing the global warming theories:
They say, "Hey, look, I'm not a scientist.' And I'll translate that for you: what that really means is, 'I know that manmade climate change really is happening but if I admit it, I'll be run out of town by a radical fringe that thinks climate science is a liberal plot.'
Meanwhile, in the hypocrisy department, after the speech in Southern California Obama attended a fund-raiser for the Democratic National Committee. The $32,400 per plate dinner was held behind closed doors at the home of Getty oil heiress Anne Earhart. Global warming enthusiasts believe that the phenomenon that they maintain is threatening our very existence is brought about by the burning of carbon fuel, just like the oil that made Earhart all that money that just went into the coffers of the DNC.
