Democrats keep screaming about McCarthyites every time a Ted Cruz steps up to oppose them. But they may have one in their own midst in the punchdrunk form of Rep. Alan Grayson. Grayson sent out a fundraising email accusing the Tea Party of being the KKK this week, an email that even used a burning cross to spell “Tea Party.” The over-the-top email has attracted criticism from all over — even some Democrats have found it to be a bit too much.

But Grayson has not backed down. Today he appeared on Martin Bashir’s MSNBC show and, naturally, was asked about that inflammatory email. Grayson not only did not back down, he ended up accusing Martin Bashir
