A 30% Marijuana Tax and Repeal Considered In Colorado

Weren't 'high' taxes the real reason the Democrat legislator's wanted Pot to be legalized.
In the 1930's, Liquor taxes had as much to do with the repeal of the Volstead Act as public popularity to get rid of Prohibition. The strange coalition of corrupt politicians, bootleggers, gangsters and religious self-righteous thought the 18th Amendment was just doing just fine. After all, it brought us organized crime and bigger, more corrupt government, didn't it? m/r
