How much BS do we have to take? Sequester do-over: Feds recaptured 4 immigrants released under budget cuts

Sequester do-over: Feds recaptured 4 immigrants released under budget cuts - Washington Times
by Stephen Dinan 3-14-13

The Obama administration said Thursday it has rearrested and brought back four of the most dangerous immigrants it released from detention last month in the run-up to the budget sequester cuts.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director John Morton testified to Congress that his agency released 10 “level one” offenders, and has gone out and brought four of them back in. He said the other six are non-violent.
Mr. Morton also acknowledged that overall, 2,228 immigrants were released — far more than the several hundred the agency had initially admitted to.
Of those, 629 had criminal records, though Mr. Morton said they were low-level offenders
The releases have drawn a stern rebuke from Congress, where Republicans said it showed mismanaged priorities by the Obama administration.

Supreme Court expresses concern over sequester

Appearing for a yearly budget hearing before the Congress, two U.S. Supreme Court Justices voiced concern over automatic budget cuts that hit the federal government earlier this month, arguing it will have a negative impact on the Judicial Branch.
"Over the long term, particularly for the courts as a whole and for our court, it is unsustainable," said Justice Anthony Kennedy.
"What is there to cut?" asked Justice Stephen Breyer rhetorically, as he talked about the Court's press office, travel budget and money for information technology services, where Breyer said cuts have already been made.
The Supreme Court would lose just over $4 million this year from the sequester cuts to its budget of about $81 million.
