Romney’s Mormon Problem, not to mention Evangelicals, Catholics and Lazy Republicans who didn't get off their butts to vote.

Romney’s Mormon Problem - By Betsy Woodruff - The Corner - National Review Online

Okay, that’s a bit of an overstatement. But Romney won two percentage points less of the Mormon vote than Bush did in ’04 — Dubya pulled in 80 percent, while the former Bay State governor took only 78 percent.
It’s worth bearing in mind that this may not be a fair sample, though: A representative from Edison Research, which conducts the exit polling, told USA Today that the group didn’t talk to voters in Utah and Idaho to get its 2012 presidential data. In 2004, it did. Given the share of U.S. Mormons who live in those two states, the Mormons polled might not be representative of overall voting trends.
