How outwardly dumb can he be? It is scary! Let us hope he is just being Machiavellian, but unfortunately that is most likely not the case. The main things that inhibit business in America are Local, State and Federal regulations.
These are the main elements that kill jobs, ambition and opportunities to create work and wealth.
Have you ever visited your local government offices? After the metal detectors, If they ask you if they can help you (they are curious to see if you are from another agency checking on them) and you get to an office inside, you will generally have to wait for the person who is supposed to help you to get off a long personal phone call. Even if they are not on the phone, the bureaucrat has masted the art of totally ignoring anyone who walks up to the counter. There is no eye contact, that would mean earning their hefty pay for what they do not do.
Or try calling a State office. If you can even figure out what office to call by its obscure title, you will get an answering machine or be switched to one.
It is the same, but worse at the Federal level today. This is a 90% true scenario.
Try it!
Obama: The 'Weaknesses In Our Economy' Are Due to Cuts in State and Local Gov't
June 8, 2012 By Fred Lucas(CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama said today that the private sector is doing fine but that the economy is suffering because of cuts in state and local government. “The private sector is doing fine,” Obama said at a press conference on Friday. “Where we’re seeing weaknesses in our economy, have to do with state and local government -- oftentimes, cuts initiated by governors or mayors who are not getting the kind of help that they have in the past from the federal government and who don’t have the same kind of flexibility as the federal government in dealing with fewer revenues coming in.”
State and local leaders were not the only ones to blame for a bad economy, as the president also
blamed Republicans in Congress.
“If Republicans want to be helpful, if they really want to move forward, and put people back to work,
what they should be thinking about is, ‘How do we help state and local governments and how do we help the construction industry?’” Obama said. “Because the recipes that they’re promoting are basically the kinds of policies that would add weakness to the economy, would result in further layoffs, would not provide relief in the housing market, and would result – I think most economists would estimate – in lower growth.”
