The same thing happened at my NYSC. They had Fox News Channel on for about a year, then it suddenly was off. Fox News was just motivating enough to workout on an elliptical trainer while getting aggravated at seeing what the democrats were up to. After Fox was shut off, CNN, PBS, MSNBC and the networks very seriously angered me to making me push my heart rate over 170!

I complained by e-mail and to the manager. This is in a liberal area, still the manager said he had many complaints about Fox News being turned off their cable. No luck, after all it was New York Sports Club.

Gym Member Complains About Not Being Able To Watch

JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- A member of a Southside gym is complaining the owners of the gym are being unfair, saying that Fox News has been banned from TVs where she works out.

The only thing Susan Robinson said she likes more than her regular workouts is watching Fox News at the same time. Robinson said Thursday afternoon when she got to Just Fitness on Beach Boulevard she was told she couldn't watch Fox News in the facility anymore.

"He told me the owner wouldn't let Fox News be on, and I was taken aback by that," Robinson said of her conversation with an employee.

The gym manager told Channel 4's Emily Turner that the gym doesn't normally change television stations for customers.

Robinson said that wasn't the policy until this week, and in the past, she regularly asked for the workers to change the channel and they did.

Robinson said she pays $10 a month for the membership at Just Fitness and that she should have the freedom to watch what she wants. Channel 4 took Robinson's complaint to an attorney.

"A gym is not a public forum," said appellate attorney Bryan Gowdy.

Gowdy said Just Fitness's practices are legal, but he also thinks they are practicing bad business.

After Channel 4 reported on the Fox News ban Wednesday night, Robinson got a call from the gym owner who said that the gym would allow her to continue watching Fox News.
