Proposed Project in Kelo Area in Connecticut: Rental Townhouses
Kelo was one of the biggest travesties of justice against property rights in American History. I was a pure case of corporate welfare that has been instituted and expanded since the 1990's. The Kelo's and surrounding properties were government takings "for the better good of the community." It was an unjust taking for the proposed expansion of a new Pfizer Office-Plant that was going to be for the better common good of the Municipality...translation: more and higher property taxes!
This government plan didn't quite work out.
